I had a beer this past weekend called "Arrogant Bastard".

Just about the worst after taste I've ever had from a beer.

But I was drunk so it didn't really matter. :p

I didn't like Pork Slap, either. Awesome name and label, though.

hehe, you want a challenge? Get a Devil Dancer from Founders. It's a TRIPPLE IPA. The IBUs are over 200. It is quite literally insane. Delicious... but insane :)

No way, Corona!

Anyway, any good nut brown ales I should try? I like Newcastle, I really like Samuel Smiths, always looking for another one to try.

Rogue Hazelnut Brown if you can find it, Boont Amber is also a good one, but very NorCal'y.

Wife picked up a six of Boont, a pretty typical Ale, quite hoppy. Not that I mind it, but I do prefer slightly sweeter beers.

A BevMo near me carries the Rogue Hazelnut Brown, so I'll be trying that next week.

My friend and I drank a 20 pack of Coors bottles last night. I only have regular Bud in my house right now. Didn't feel like paying $15 or a 12 pack of Newcastle.

that's rough

I've yet to find a single hoppy beer that has taste anything other than disgusting. Let alone even dare try one of those beers chocked-so-full-of-hops-you-might-as-well-be-chewing beers. :p

I prefer malty beers apparently. And just about anything Sam Adams is amazing for malty beers.

Their Cream Stout and Holiday Porter? OMG delicious. :)

You shouldn't drink alcohol. It is the oil in the engine of evil. So just stop it.

Red Hook used to make a decent one for their spring brew. But I think they replaced it with an IPA iirc?

If you really dig malty beers, check out a Rochefort 6. Good beer and an almost exact opposite of an IPA or equivalently hoppy beer.

Another vote for Rogue Hazelnut Brown. It's just as good as the Sam Smith Nut Brown but a completely different type of flavor. I was a huge Newcastle fan before I found these two beers.

*EDIT* BTW, beer tastes good every night. ;)

yes this

I need to try the Rogue Hazelnut Brown i really love the Dead Guy ale

Then move onto Shakespeare. It is one of my all-time favorites. yummy.

Actually, my favorite Rogue was Mogul Ale, but the discontinued that more than 7 years ago :( :| it was hard to find even when they produced it.

Oh man...I just remembered Mogul. Now I'm more sad. :(

EDIT: OMG! It's back!!!

must find must find must find must find ........

I was planning to stop off at Rochefort back in July when I was in the Ardennes. train didn't go anywhere near, though :(

Here's to Red Hook. I'm drinking Long Hammer IPA tonight.
