yah that makes 2 of us. last time i went to the bar and got draft beer, they used the tap to get it out of a keg ...

There are no preservatives in keg beer. Where did you hear that? The difference is that bottled/canned beer is pasteurized. You can read a little bit about beer packaging here. I like having a kegerator so that I can always have beer on tap. I don't mind if my milk is pasteurized, but I like my beer to remain cold from when it leaves the brewery until it's in my stomach.
