if you are going to a bar, dont think about ordering anything to fancy when it comes to beer. Anything besides the norm will probably have been sitting there for a long time and will be skunk.

If I were you I would order a Bass or Heineken. Both are popular enough to be fresh, but stillt taste good.

Heineken's more bitter than domestics, so I don't think there's any way he'd like it.

ahh...good point. Guinness is an option, but most noobs dont like Guinness. What about killians red?

Had this today for the first time in the 750 ml corked bottle. It was first rate. I recommend just about anything by Sam Smith, and I think the stout far better than the "popular favorite"

😀

I still say a wheat beer with a slice of lemon. Look for Boulevard Wheat.

Very smooth, non pissy tasting beer. A lot of women that I know that don't like the taste of beer like the taste of wheat beer with lemon.

true. or hefeweizen.

Something like this or this sounds good.

The problem is, you're thinking that because the review says the beer has a cinnamon taste, or chocolate taste, or oatmeal taste, it's going to taste like that. But that's not really what it tastes like. It tastes like beer, with a hint of these flavors. If you can't handle Bud/Coors/Miller, then there's no way you're going to automatically like some of the heavier stuff, like Guinness, or Sammy Smith.

I had one of these before and it wasn't bad. How much like a dark beer is that?

Yeah, Woodchuck's sweet, like apple juice, so it's in the opposite direction you want to go. Sometimes after drinking cider all night, I have no desire to drink regular beer because, compared to the cider, beer's just too bitter.

What's the popular SS favorite? The Oatmeal Stout?

Killians is a Coors product. As is Blue Moon. Don't drink them. Coors is an evil company.

The bought the company that imported Caffrey's and when they purchased said company, they ceased all importing of Caffrey's. :|

Best domestic I've had was Miller Lite. Not very bitter at all.

I, personally, prefer a dark, though.

I still say a wheat beer with a slice of lemon. Look for Boulevard Wheat.

How is that any different than a wine cooler?? 😛

Two options, go with a light beer that tastes like nothing ie. Miller light, or get something that tastes good. I like a wide variety of wheats. Maybe try a blue moon? Not bad. You might enjoy it.

just drink Zima with a Jolly Rancher in it.
they will usually put an orange slice in a Hefe. but its still tasty.

All right, I asked my mom and she forced me to take a drink of Miller Lite. It didn't taste like I remember beer tasting. It didn't have much flavor though.

You like Miller Lite and you are ragging on Boulevard Wheat? 😕

You are bizzare.

It's the least bitter, therefore most palatable domestic that I've tried.

I'm not saying anything about your Wheat beer, just that having a beer with a lemon on it seems kinda prissy to me. 😉

Yeah, that's pretty much the deal with light beers. They have almost no taste.

Hehe, your mom forced beer on you.

But seriously, please DONT try to compare a cider with a dark beer. That is just a joke. You will get a bit of the fermentation taste in it (not sure what to call that), but its not even close.

Go to a store like trader joes or some liquor store where they let you buy individual bottles. Mix and match and try a bit of each. Not all at once! Trust me, dark is a more aquired taste. I started out not liking beer, but taste for it develops. I started out with MGD, get used to that or something similar then move on. After MGD I went with Killians Irish Red, and onward.

Talking about beer isnt fair 🙁 I can't have any.

just get something domestic...Bud Light, Miller Light, something to that extent. Worst case, order what your buddy orders. If you don't like it, don't make a sour ass face..just swallow it and learn to like it. Nobody acquires the taste for beer overnight.
