Beer sucks

What beer are you talking about? The Guinness I just had is certainly not crap....though it is expensive.
 
Quality is all in the eye of the beholder and expensive is only relative to the amount of your disposable income.
 
I'm going to have to agree...

In my opinion beer tastes pretty bad. I'd never discourage anyone else from drinking it, but given the choice, I'd take a mixed drink over beer any day.
 
I used to hate beer. I still don't like the taste of it, but as life has progressed and as I've imbibed more and more of it, I've come to object less and less to it.

I think this is how people come to like beer. And I don't really think there's anything wrong with that -- it's an acquired taste. But I don't know if I want to start liking the taste of beer just by familiarity.

Beer at best is an acquired taste. I drink it for the buzz.

Oh yeah, some people are able to feel that they are extra special because they drink certain brands or types of beer.

Where did the expensive part come in?

Most people I know who drink beer drink it because it's cheap (at least cheaper than shots and coctails).

At the bar I go to, one mixed drink is almost as expensive as an entire pitcher of beer.
