If you've never heard of beer pong and don't live on the East coast, I understand. Otherwise you have no excuse. And who bounces the ball? That sounds a bit homo.

It's two triangles. WTF does that have to do with pong?

you poor bastard....

How do you play this game?

It's pretty simple, but I don't understand how you would play it as illustrated in the picture. Not having the ability to bounce is just lame.

Only bitches bounce.

:confused:Everyone I know in the midwest plays it.

I have never seen anyone play it with someone "bouncing" the ball in.

I am shocked and embarrased to say I visit these forums with the amount of people who have never heard of beer pong:disgust:

Only bitches blow. Bouncing is a fine art that is usually worth two cups. You guys are missing out.

"bitches blow"

that means girls are allowed to blow on the cup if the ball is spinning around in hopes of knocking it out.

its a good rule...besides, who the hell wants to see guys blowing on a damn cup?

house rules.

1. one shot per person, 2 on each side
2. only bitches bounce and blow
3. fix cups on 6, 4,3,2,1

only the kids in rich schools call it beruit. Regular college kids call it beer pong

You toss a pong ball into the cup from across the table. IF you get it into the cup the other team has to drink the cup. Usually the partners alternate drinking.

can we drop the ball in our own cup and drink it?

BTW I've watched beer pong played before, at Rutgers University no less. I have a friend who is a brother of Alpha Sig, the white frat house on College Ave, but we both have since graduated. Oh the memories! Heh.

Which house is that pic from? Are you a frat boy Josh?:p

heres how its played for the most part on long island where I learned it in high school

1) 2 person teams with 6 or 10 cups on each side or sometimes 2 triangles of 6 (12)

2) Throw in worth 1 cup bounce worth 2 but bounce can be blocked (basically you try to distract them and bounce the ball in or do it when there not looking its actually a lot more fun with bouncing)

3) Each player gets one shot then the other team goes. If both players get it in that team gets the balls back

4) two balls in the same cup = instant win (usually never happes cause right when one ball goes in the team takes the cup)

5) Rerack at 6, 3, 2 and the last cup can be positioned anywhere

6) After one team makes the last cup the other team can try and come back with 2 final shots (Try and keep making both in, rarely happens unless other team has 1or 2 cups left)

I know the rules vary VERY much seemingly randomly, even towns nearby mine would play very different. I met kids from the midwest who bounced every shot and some people who let girls blow spinning balls and guys finger spinning balls. Basically everyone always thinks their way is the greatest and at the start a fight will ensue but usually a happy medium can be found. There is NO right way to play beer pong or beirut only many different ways.

How does the ball NOT go into a cup?

And why are so many computer forum members (here and HardForum) Rutgers students?

You don't understand Wink...after like 50-100 cups don't you think throwing the ball at a perfect angle is going to become a little more difficult? And when there are 10 cups...I bet it's near impossible :D

usually you are slighty to horribly drunk. Plus its usually dark. The first couple shots are easy, but when there are only 1-2 cups left you need a bit of skill and luck to win. I've had a game go on for 30 minutes. Thankfully we won, cause that beer was rank by the end.
