I'm starting to enjoy Pyramid Beers.

Pyramid Beers

Snow Cap - 7% by volume

India Pale Ale - my usual, 6.7% by volume

Pale Ale - when I want something a little less than IPA, 5.1% by volume

A bunch more from the main site.

I grew up in Canada and am used to a higher alcohol content in my beer. Most of the good microbrews are around 5% to 6% by volume (Canadian beers are 5% as a standard, I used to drink Molson Brador in the winter and it was 6.2% and is 6% now). I'm only listing the content because it does have a significant effect on the flavour and the lower content in the typical American beer is one reason why they tend to have a less intense flavour than beers from other places.

Some beers, like Guinness which is my favourite, actually have a lower alcohol content. This is partially for tax reasons as Ireland at least partially bases their taxes on the alcohol content.

Ooooh! Kalik. How could I forget them.. That's good beer. I was surprised to read on their website that they've only been around since 1988! Wow!

Bad Frog, eh? Hmm.... They must be legit, they sponsor race cars! But the Bad Frog malt liquor scares me a bit. "Craft brewed to fulfill our customers request for a hi-powered, upscale, yet smoooooth Malt beverage."

Weird to see "Craft brewed" and "malt beverage" in the same sentence. :p I'll add them later.

Flag from Benin. It's a baaaaaaaaaaaaaad lager of which I drank a lot when I was in West Africa...but when the water isn't safe and soda is often too expensive, there's not a whole lot of choices. :)

There's also Togolaise or something like that from Togo.
