OK. Everyone in this thread got props at the bottom of the page. The page is not going to look as boring as this. This is a rough draft.
I've also put together Beer Ingredients this morning. If anyone wants to proof or offer input, it's appreciated!
Eventually, when I'm all unpacked, I'm going to set up shop here in my new house to brew some beer. My goal for my first beer is a light wheat with a fruity fragrance so my wife may be willing to drink with me. She really likes Lambics, but I'd prefer something a little more grainy. I'm going to try to brew something that'll appeal to both of us.
Appreciated, but I need links. And Microbrews aren't counting. Like, I would love to put Tampa Bay Brewing Company's Iron Rat Stout on the list or "The Moosekiller", but the fact is I can go to the store and buy a six pack of it.
If you are in Belgium, maybe you could help me with who makes the Double and Triple Grimbergen beers and where I can get more information on them.
These are the ones that make beer near me. Colorado has tons of micro breweries. My favorites would be Odell's 90 schilling and New Belgium's Fat Tire. many local breweries don't have a web site so I didn't list them.
Note that many of the beers you list contain rice and corn...not real beer in my opinion, but you might want to change the ingrediant list to reflect that some beers do use grains other than barley.
Here is another excellent Brewery from Germany: Augustiner. They make: Edelstoff, Lagerbier Hell, Oktoberfestbier, Pils, Heller Bock, Dunkel, Maximator (the best), and Hefeweissbier.
Sorry could not book mark each type. Sold in Canada and the US. I have some Apricot Wheat Ale in my fridge right now. Been drinking their stuff since university. The Griffen brand is excellent.
You may have it and just not put it on the list yet but I drank some along with some Red Stripe from Jamaca last night and thought about your project. see here
