You're doing it wrong 😀
$6.00

or $7.00 for the 1 liter size.

I drank so much popov in college that vodka makes my stomach turn everytime, even premium brands.

I don't think "get drunk cheap" is the primary motivation for Budweiser. If it was just about that, people could be getting malt liquor, or flavored malt beverages like Four Loko, or wine, or cheap vodka/rum. Shit, you could get a handle of rum and 4 liters of Coke for less than the price of a case of Bud and have more alcohol to get drunk on and have it be better tasting to boot (and still easy to drink). Budweiser seems to be about the relative ease and cost mixed with the familiarity of drinking something you've had a thousand times before and the comfort of knowing you can have a few without getting trashed. It's not a "let's get smashed" drink unless you're a retarded middle schooler.

Have you ever tried playing beer pong with wine? or kings cup with 151? not fun.

and I would argue (at least for myself) that 12 cans of BL is a lot easier to drink than 4-6 shots of anything.

Ingredients list? We don't need no stinkin' ingredients list!" [Blazing Saddles and The Treasure of the SM reference] 🙂

Hardly. I drink good beer as well as cheap beer depending on the situation, and I'm not looking down on anyone for what they drink - just their attitude. I daresay you aren't reading the threads very carefully if you think people only look down on the beer or company - some of the people, maybe even you, don't look down on them, but plenty of people do.

Not in this thread. You said here "lol beer snobs" and left, no one is pissing on people who enjoy a cold light beer. You are just trying to get some attention.

Want to know the reason why I don't mind Bud Light personally?

Flatulence.

Beer invariably gives me gas. I love beer. I love the taste of beer in any form. Most of it will eventually have me tooting like a steam engine trolly coming into station. Well, once I've drunk enough of it. Some beers are much worse than others for this. The aforementioned Shiner Black makes me think there's crotch rocket between my legs with all the rumbling happening after the third beer down the hatch.

I can pound back some bud lights, get that beer taste, feel a little bit of the buzz relaxation, and not have to worry about clearing out a room. There are plenty of other beers that can work with to the same effect so I'm certainly not a fan of budweiser for their less than robust effectiveness at inducing gas propellent out my backside.

So hey, Budwesier at least has that going for them.

In order to know alcohol content you need to know the specific gravity BEFORE fermentation as well as AFTER fermentation. You are calculating the amount of sugars in the water that have been converted to alcohol.

oh yea. its been about 10 years since I home brewed.

This thread isn't as bad as some of the other similar threads, sure, but it is disingenuous to claim that those posts aren't here, and your silly attempt to attack me for posting against the opinion of the majority in a thread is both irrelevant and untrue.

Life is to short to drink shitty beer.

I love beer. i drink it a few times a week. why should i buy stuff that taste like shit and i don't enjoy when i can spend a little more and get stuff that is far far better?

it's not being a beer snob to get something good over something that is shit.

only time i buy pbr/bud is parties or when i cook with it

Back in the day I was a Guiness Stout man myself.
I don't know how much alcohol was in it but a six pack would make be loopy.

12 cans of Bud Light may be easier to drink than 4 shots, but one well mixed tall rum and Coke will have as much alcohol content as 12 cans of Bud Light and be easier to drink. As far as beer pong, I don't use that as a gauge for my beer purchases because I am not a child. I've only played it twice; one time I was using a local microbrew hefeweizen, which was excellent, and the other time I showed up to a party at the end of the night so they were pouring whatever they had left in the beer pong cups. I took a cup of peach schnapps followed by a cup of tequila rose and generously surrendered to my opponent.

There are legions of drinking games (including but not limited to beer pong) that require copius amounts of liquor, not a "well mixed tall rum and coke". Sure you can use expensive alcohol, but WHY. These are drinking games, not craft beer flights.

Oddly enough, when I actually do go out for real drinks I'm a sucker for $20 cocktails from real mixologists.

Congrats, you stormed into this thread looking for arguments and you got them.

I'll make fun of people for drinking shitty beer all I fucking want to.

Just as I'd expect people who are into fine dining to make fun of me for making chicken nuggets and tater tots for dinner and enjoying them.

Just as I'd expect someone who's hardcore into wine making fun of my sister who drinks Arbor Mist and thinks she likes wine (which she doesn't).

Just as I'd expect someone who's very into dog training laughing internally as I take my dog to the dog park and have to chase him for 30 minutes once I'm ready to leave because he doesn't listen to me.

Good God, the people who complain about beer snobs have become more annoying than the snobs themselves. I like good beer, I enjoy making fun of people who drink shit beer amongst other beer connoisseurs.

People with similar interests end up talking about said interests - and poking fun at people who aren't as into their interest comes with the territory, it happens in every walk of life. Why does beer stand out? Because food and drink are basic human needs that bring out more emotion in people than talking about knitting, that's why food/drink threads get 100+ replies regularly on here. If it bothers you so much when fans of good beer poke a little fun at people who are either ignorant of better options or just plain don't care, that's your problem, not ours.

10/10, would read again

It's called 3/2 Beer in states like Oklahoma.

It's against the law to sell Beer in the state not labeled 3/2.

It is watered down beer.

I can't really blame An Bev for just going ahead and watering it down for all of the U.S. pansies.

Why should they have to make, warehouse and distribute multiple products because the U.S. is run by idiots?

You are posting incorrect information as usual.

In Oklahoma 3.2% beer is sold in grocery and convenience stores. It is not directly comparable to other beer since its alcohol content is measured by weight as opposed to volume. It can be sold chilled.

Stronger beer that is measured in the usual fashion of alcohol by weight, is readily available in retail liquor stores, these stores also sell wine and liquor. The stronger beer cannot be sold chilled.

Most of the macro brews sold here tend to stay with the 3.2% blend because it can be sold chilled, and is slightly more accessible. Very few will sell the 3.2% and the stronger blends, but there are some; Sam Adams and Shiner Bock come to mind.

Incorrect information not found.

Bottom line is that it is 3.2% shit.

WAIT WAIT WAIT A MINUTE. You are saying that you can get 3.2 % Sam Adams at the grocery story in Oklahoma? Utah has similar laws, anything that isn't 3.2 is sold in state run liquor stores. A six pack of Boston Ale is $12 at the liquor store, its insane. And that is the only place you can get it.

a snob is a snob like a racist is a racist. There is no such thing as a "reverse __x__"
