beer dilemma: what beer would you order at a bar?

Always give the local breweries in the area a try when I travel. But after one filling of Stout/Porter/Hefeweizen I normally switch back to my ol standby as those thick rich beers are way too filling.

Miller Lite Draft!

And Tequila should be drank straight up. Save the Lime and Salt for my Corona!

I never pass up guiness on tap.

only 2 places to get it around here, and neither pour it right. i refuse to drink it from the bottle/can.

As an occasional bartender, nothing pisses me off more than people who order a Guinness and then b!tch at me when I pour it correctly. Yes, it takes more time. Yes, I will move on and take more orders while I am waiting for it to settle. Please STFU you newbie, and you'll end up with a better tasting pint. Not that they would apparently notice the difference...

Eh, sorry to go off on that little rant which was not aimed in your direction.

yea, you west coasters are making me damn jealous now!

depends, one drink after work would be a guinness pint
the first of many drinks of a night on the town would be a bud light in its cheapest form (though in actuality i would probably just jump to the liquor in this situation)

Depends on if you wanna drink something that tastes good or drink something that tastes like crap.

I'm not a big beer drinker, but if I'm going to get one, I definitely prefer a good micro. So many to choose from here in Oregon.

If I have to get a mass-produced american beer, I'll take a Henry's or Michelob over Bud or Coors.

I usually order Yuengling. Its a local lager.

If you were a woman, and I was single, I would marry you.

First had Yuengling about 3 years ago while visiting a friend's family in Atlanta. After that, I used to drive from SC to NC (where they sold Yuengling). My eventual move to NC was probably influenced by the fact that I could get Yuengling a lot easier.

I want to go to Pottsville, PA one day to pay homage.

I have a 12 pack, or what's left of, black and tan in my fridge.

*sniff* beer soul mates!! Stone is near the top of my list.

I love my beer dark. Dopplebock @ Sudwerks in Davis, imperial @ PCB in Oakland, and porter @ Buffalo Bill's in Hayward. And to be honest, I'd take any of those over the beer at Cantina in Davis (great selection but nothing outstanding on the list).

I'd kill for Abita on tap though.

I usually get Bass, Newcastle, Guinness on tap

I also like On tap: Blue Moon (w/orange slice) Or a BELLS

In bottles, any of the above (except Guinness)
also enjoy

Red Stripe
Chimay

and when I'm feeling cheap:

Rolling Rock
Hieniken
Molson Canadian
Labat Blue

I dunno, tried a few of the Stone beers over the past month but haven't been very fond of them. Well-made, but not to my tastes. Then again, I've been drinking a lot of sweet beers lately (dopplebocks, triple ales)
