Beeping Server

I have a Dell Poweredge T105 server that went down, now all it will do is beep when I turn it on. No idea what is going on. Originally thought the power supply went out and the hard drives went. But now can't get it to turn on to check...

Any idea's?

The beeps could signal any number of problems. Did you unplug and reseat your RAM, video card and any other plug in cards? Are there any signs of fried components or electrolytic capacitors that are bulging (domed) at the top?

What is the beep sequence? That is, how many long or short beeps? Check the motherboard manufacturer's site to find out what the beep code means.

Good luck. 🙂

You were right, and so was the re-seeding the problem. The memory sticks needed to be taken out and re-seeded to stop the beeping - thank you for the information!
