I'm on 56K right now (at home) so I'll have to wait. I have pics of ALL the parts, and will upload them once I get back to school.

We don't doubt you have the parts.

SlickDeals Forum Search

There you go. Just find us those crazy deals you nabbed that allowed you to purchase that gear for $380.

heh, given that the first 2/3's of his post talk about how much system he got for a ridiculous price...

yep, showboatin' (and most likely lying to do it, too!)

Yeah, the thread is getting out of hand. I can't say I don't believe him. I used to buy a whole brand new Dell Computer w/o monitor, but with Windows XP, for $80 before. It wasn't the top of the line, but good enough for daily use.
If you frequent the site he mentioned, you can find the deal easily enough. Ofcourse you have to be patient. It'll take time to gather all the parts at that ridiculous price.

Trust me, he's not the only SlickDeals user on this forum. The problem is that SlickDeals doesn't even have the items he bought for the price he stated. If they did, he could have linked the deal hours ago.

I said that slickdeals did wonders, not helped me find everything that I used in my build. None the less, here are some links. Also, just because I don't stay on the forums all day long waiting for you to put in a comment so that I can respond to it doesn't mean sh!t. I'm tired of you crying about how it was impossible for me to find deals, so here are some links.

Antec 900 - http://forums.slickdeals.net/s...ight=Antec+900+CompUSA

Crucial Ballistix - http://forums.slickdeals.net/s...ight=Crucial+Ballistix (I paid ~$75 for one set)

C2D and eVGA 680i - http://forums.slickdeals.net/s...0&highlight=eVGA+E6400

Acer Monitors - http://forums.slickdeals.net/s...9&highlight=Acer+OD+CC (CC $40 off coupon was used)

2 x 160GB WD HDs (temporary) - http://forums.slickdeals.net/s...&t=286342&highlight=WD

Zalman 9500 and Antec Neo 550W and 8800GTS - Don't worry about how much I paid, but since I've already shown you how much everything else costed me, you should be able to do the math. I'm not telling anyone on how I received these parts for what I got them for either, so don't ask.

I've snapped pictures just to show you that I have these parts in my possession. Heck, the plastic on the box for 8800GTS is still here too, so I made sure to take pics of that just for you. Why the hell would I lie about how much I purchased everything for. None of this would have happened if I straight up told you that I paid retail on everything, which is clearly what I should have done. Now I have to go study and will be back. Try not to cry when I'm gone.

Btw, if you think that I stole the parts that I didn't put a price for, please by all means, show me some links with retailers around Seattle, WA that even carry the 8800GTS Superclocked. Also, please give me links to places that stock the Zalman 9500 and Antec Neo, I'm sure you'll find that these parts are behind the counter or glass casing.

I also feel inclined to say that I must be a freaken genious being able to know in advance that $780 is a magical number. Calculating the components from above shows $780 (not including the temporary HDs), and my origional post shows that I spent $780... Weird huh.

Antec 900 - $60
Crucial Ballistix - $140
C2D & 680i - $240
Acer Monitors - $320
Total: $760

So according to your numbers, you paid $20 for the Zalman 9500, Antec Neo 550W PSU, DVDRW, and eVGA 8800 GTS 640MB.

Hey champ, next time I'd focus your efforts in this thread and ask your relatively simple CPU question in here. EDIT: Nevermind, asked and answered.

Actually, you have that wrong. I might have linked you to the wrong slickdeals site but I got the C2D and 680i for 260$, making the total $780. I paid NOTHING for the video card, HSF, PSU, and DVDRW, all brand new. Also, you're going to tell me to check out a thread regarding something that I posted on the first page AFTER you've got your @$$ handed to you :disgust:. Thanks anyways for making yesturday and today an entertaining few days while I've been studying....

I got my ass handed to me? Good one chuckles.

Any idiot with a keyboard could search SlickDeals and find the threads you linked. As for you getting those parts for free  We're all cheering for you, like the parents at the Special Olympics.

We never believed you got everything for $780, and so far, you never proved that you have.

I have a few brand new Crays sitting in my garage too; got them for $499 each. They are my budget computers. Can't tell you how, why or where I got them, but here's a clue:

"I paid NOTHING for the video card, HSF, PSU, and DVDRW, all brand new."

Why didn't you just say that in the beginning when people were wondering how you bought all that stuff for $780? No one would have doubted you, or cared if you had just said some of the items were free. Instead, you made it sound like you paid money for all of those items, and that your total was $780 which is simply unbelievable.

"Everything was purchased new and I just waited around for deals to popup."

Again, if you paid nothing for the video card, HSF, PSU, and DVDRW, then you did not purchase those items, and are misleading people.

You apparently need to read my other post stating that I should have said that I paid retail for the items to prevent this commotion. As for not purchasing the items, I still received them from a third party, meaning that I did not have them in my possession to begin with. When I stated that "Everything was purchased new..." I was talking about all of my items, not just particulary the video card, HSF, PSU, and DVDRW.

As for jpeyton, it's cool if you're oblivious that I've listed the prices of my build, as well as how I received the rest of my components. It's clear that you're jealous, and as for a "Cray," I don't know what they are, and do not care how much you paid for them. People pick up deals by looking on craigslist / slickdeals all the time, so I'm not sure why you're pooping your pants from me picking up a few components for so cheap. Like I stated before, please inform me of any place around Seattle that even carries the 8800GTS Superclocked.

Have you been down to California recently?

The suspects hijacked and kidnapped a U.P.S. driver and truck at gunpoint. The driver was placed in the rear compartment of the U.P.S. truck. The suspects drove the truck to an isolated cul-de-sac and removed specific items. The suspects were dressed in U.P.S. uniforms. U.P.S. is offering up to a $10,000.00 reward leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects
