I've been pretty inactive once i got everything working on my first pc thanks for all the help guys.

Its been a few months, and now for some reason about 5 minutes ago, my computer was getting 30-40 fps in counter-strike 1.6. For those of you who dont know about cs the game was made in 1998; should be no problem for a 7800gtx.

I am pretty sure i did not have any viruses. I tried restarting to see if this would fix the frame spikes. and then the computer would not even turn on to the point where there is a POST beep. the fans being to run and then it just stops and turns off. I did this about 4 times and each time it just turned off.

What could have caused this? it is 65F outside but my temps stated by smartguardian are 30C CPU : 38 PWMIC : 45C Chipset. I'm not sure about the temps of the gfx card but it was barely warm when i touched it.

My specs are:

Amd athlon x2 4800+
2gb ocz platinum
lanparty UT expert mobo
western digital wd4000yr 400gb hd
evga geforce 7800gtx ko
lian-li pc-60plus

any help would be appreciated.
