I need beef penis in my life; this is the best recipe I can find. I'm hoping the penis eaters of ATOT could help me out with a more flavorful recipe? Somehow, it seems this recipe is lacking salt.

1 pound of penis, ram’s or bull’s
3 tbls. oil
1 large chopped onion
2 garlic cloves, peeled and chopped
1 tsp coriander seeds, crushed
1 tsp salt
freshly ground black pepper

Scald the penis, then drain and clean.
Place the penis in a saucepan, cover with cold water, and bring to a boil.
Remove any scum, then simmer for 10 minutes.
Drain and slice.
Heat the oil in a large skillet.
Add the onion, garlic, and coriander and fry until the onion is golden.
Add the penis slices and fry on both sides for a few minutes.
Stir in the remaining ingredients with a good grinding of pepper, add enough water to cover, and bring to a boil.
Lower the heat, cover, and simmer for about 2 hours, or until tender.
Add a little water from time to time if necessary to prevent burning.

Flexible recipe. If you only have enough food for 4 people and need to feed 6 or 8, just massage the beef for a few minutes before serving.

I wouldn't mind trying it. I wonder what our local butchers do with it? :hmm:

Yup, thread winner right there.

We can keep going.

Massage it for a few extra minutes, makes its own broth.

Leftovers take up less space in the fridge because it shrinks when cold.

Even if its been in the fridge for weeks and you're not sure it's any good, just pop a little blue pill into the pot and its just like new.

The trick is to apply the rub *before* slaughtering the animal.

Yes, I have a good recipe.

Note what's not in it.

Ingredients

2 1/4 cups dried split peas, (1 pound), sorted and rinsed
8 cups water
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 ham bone or 2 pounds shanks
3 medium carrots, cut into 1/4-inch slices (1 1/2 cups) save $

Directions
1. Heat peas and water to boiling in 4-quart Dutch oven. Boil uncovered 2 minutes; remove from heat. Cover and let stand 1 hour.
2. Stir in onion, celery and pepper. Add ham bone. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer about 1 hour 30 minutes or until peas are tender.
3. Remove ham bone; remove ham from bone. Trim excess fat from ham; cut ham into 1/2-inch pieces.
4. Stir ham and carrots into soup. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer about 30 minutes or until carrots are tender and soup is desired consistency.

My parents both come from farming families and had to deal with this sort of thing when slaughter time came around. Most of the animal was utilized in some shape or form as food or made into a good (e.g. animal hyde became leather). Usually, animal parts that were undesireable were just fed to the pigs; they ate EVERYTHING.

How does one buy beef penis? In a bag? So once prepared, does that mean that you're eating a bag of dicks?

Long way to go for a joke but so worth it.
