If you guys have a Harbor Freight near you they always have dehydrators for under $20, and they have extra trays so you can make more at once.

For you lazy guys this may help Lazy man's helper

For you cheap guys this may help here or here

I do make my own jerky and I have tried the oven and the dehydrator, only problem with the oven is in the Spring or Summer when the house is warm enough already, the last thing I wanna do is fire up the oven. So I use the dehydrator when it's warm outside, and the oven to heat the house when it's cool out.

FYI: Costco has 2 or 3 different marinades that are cheap and work great for jerky and other meats on the BBQ, Yoshinias is the brand name I think.

This must be some clearance thing or something. The store I work at this is 3.67 or 3.97 I forget which. It doesn't sell either, it's been sitting in a feature for a week now and I've only had to restock it once. :Q

<< Boa, jerky is dried meat, you don't cook it, just dry it😀 >>

mmmmmmmmmm ECOLi.

Of all the in store brands Pemmicans is the best in my opinion. But This Guy has some of the best Jerky I have ever tasted.

anyone know which dehydrator is good?
i was looking at amazon, and there are $30ish, $70ish, and $140ish.
not sure whats the difference between them.

i am thinking about getting one.
is there a big difference in beef jerky with the $30ish one compare to the $140 one?

Excalibur Dehydrator does have good reviews, but its so expensive! $160 for the medium model.
maybe its cheaper just buy it at SAM's 🙂

i just cant decide if its worth it.
