seriously.... if some of these people knew the kinds of chiropractic adjustments some of the hot girls i see get, they'd cream themselves....
basically, it's a thumb or 5th metacarpal contact just to the side of the anus... skin on skin contact.
i see asses daily, so this is really no big deal to me.
What type of treatment is that for? I have been going to a chiropractor for a few months now and have yet to receive any treatment invoving skin to skin contact, let alone near my anus.
it's a technique called logan basic. basically, it's based on the view that depending on how your sacrum is sitting, so sits the rest of your spine. so, you need to adjust the sacrum to effect the rest of the spine. the reason the contact is there is because there's a ligament that relaxes all of the muscles all the way up your spine when you put pressure on it in a certain line of drive (straight to the side = the bottom of the spine... straight up = top of the spine). you just change your line of drive depending on where you want to adjust. it's really low force. the way this happens is because that ligament is connected to the myofascial planes that run up and down your body... all the way to the head or all the way to the neck. so, theoretically, you could help speed up the healing of a sprained ankle with this adjustment, too.
the reason your chiropractor doesn't do it is probably because he hasn't learned it (it's taught exclusively at logan), you don't have a scoliosis, or because he doesn't want to take the time to administer the adjustment... it takes about 5 minutes for that adjustment..... or, like many of my fellow students, think that adjustment is a load of bvllshit. i'm still on the fence with this kind of adjustment... i need to do more studies on it. i know for a fact already that it reduces blood pressure and slows the heart rate.
