Sad to hear, even though I never cared for the Bee Gees. But their funk was undeniableon Stayin' Alive, the only song of theirs which I can tolerate.

Why because I said that even though I'm not a big fan of the BeeGees I think their music is better than the crap that the Music Industry is spoon feeding idiots these days as music? Well if that makes me old being old is preferable to being a tool.

Actually they had a nice string of hits long before Saturday Night Fever and disco. I hope he makes it.

Really, having surgery because you are constipated and then suffering a Heart Attack while in surgery is so Elvis like.

I think this is the problem. Too many people equate youth with being hip with the latest music/trends. I have many 28-30 year olds who go around singing Nelly and Eminem, and they look like stoopid F-tards. (Stole that word from a previous post.) Nelly and Eminem are for 12-17 year olds. If I prove I'm 28 by not liking them, then more power to me. If someone calls me "grandpa" when they see me in line with Metallica's new CD come March, so be it.

You see the problem is neither of them are singers. And as bad as Eminem is Nelly's ten times worse. Just goes to prove that all the drugs my generation took really had a negative effect on many of the current generation.

Look, I wasn't serious. I was just teasing Red.

It's always sad when an artist passes, even if you weren't a fan of theirs. I'm sure this guy influenced a lot of the musicians that I listen to.

who is Nelly? (don't answer)
I have heard of Eminem through all the scuttle, but can't say I have even heard any of his/her/their (?) stuff.

From News reports:

>A younger sibling, Andy, who did not sing with the Bee Gees but had a brief burst of fame in the late 1970s with hits such as "I Just >Want To Be Your Everything" and "Shadow Dancing," died of a heart infection in 1988 five days shy of his 30th birthday.

I could of sworn he committed suicide over rejection by Victoria Principal. Who is re-writing history here???

Metallica is worse than that crap. They just yell and play their guitars as loudly as they can.

Not to stray to far off topic but am I the only one who thinks that picture of Lulu looks a lot like Hillary Clinton?

<cliff claven voice> It's a little known fact that Red Dawn was the treasurer for the Bay Area chapter of the Andy Gibb Fan Club back in the 70's and early 80's. He quit when he realized that the Gibb brothers were completely full of crap. </cliff claven voice>

Hmmm...interesting. I was fully expecting to open that story and read that he was dying of AIDS. Heart attack never even crossed my mind.

I'm sad to hear this, and hope he pulls through. The BeeGees are a class act, and have done a lot of excellent music over the years. If you're interested, check out their DVD "One Night Only", taken from a recent concert in Vegas, where they perform songs from their entire history.
