I'm going to be buying 4 feather pillows, a feather top for my mattress, and a feather throw and comforter.

Anyone have any feather bedding for the bed?

How often do you have to have the bedding cleaned? I assume it has to be dry cleaned or somehow professionally cleaned? How much does that cost?

Edit: I think it's all made by Pacific Coast. I'm ordering it from the Ritz-Carlton - so whatever they have on their beds is what I am getting.

I have a down comforter that has to be dry clean only. We have it done at a local shop for about $45 every six months.

I have a feather bed - it is awesome. (FYI I think it came from sam's club, it's a ralph lauren and pretty nice and was only about $75)

I never had any trouble with it until one time I spilled a coke or something on it, and thought I'd try to clean it. Well 4 hours of various attempted cleaning techniques and now I have a 3 foot spot on my bed rather than a 3 inch one. I've also noticed that it tends to smell a little funky since then... so I guess the moral of the story is, yes they should be cleaned by professioanls. hehee. But at $40 a cleaning, I'd rather just buy a new one every year.
