That's a popular myth-Anything over 350 or so TC is overkill.
Well, I hate sticking up for Mosh because she's such a punk but I dont think this is an issue than can be a myth. More like a personal preference. If she can actually tell the difference at 350 or above then let her get what she wants.

Louder sure, but it doesnt actually sound BETTER to my ears, just bigger. But I know guys who claim they can tell the difference between systems with darn-near identical specs and similar price tags.

Oh yes, sheets. For me, flannel sheets feel the softest and nicest. Thats what I prefer, even in the summer. They start off soft and get softer with each wash. Though I have been told the same of high thread-count regular linens.
