I was just looking for a new bed frame and found this. Shipping usually kills the prices of these bed frames but it's FREE right now. Search for "bed storage prepac furniture". My mistake they do advertise FREE shipping by that seller.

Use the search phrase he listed in the OP. They look pretty nice but they're platform type beds similar to a lot of the Ikea styles. So in other words, would probably not be good for pillow top serta style mattresses.

Why wouldn't they work for pillow top sertas? I'm confused since this is my first wooden bed frame ever purchased. Ikea bed frames don't look that good. Could you give me some pointers where to buy? I like contemporary bed frames without the huge headboards.

Thanks!

I guess they could work but if you look at this picture, the mattress would be supported by the wood slats so you would lose the functionality of a box spring. And from my experience, those slats can be fragile. Maybe it's just because the bed that used to have with my ex was from Ikea. So in other words - don't listen to me ;)

Looks like the ones from AAA (Seller) are the lower price plus only $5.00 shipping.

Yeah, because of the hard wood slats, wouldn't you want a nicer thicker pillow top. Just the mattress, not a box spring too. Bedsides, reviews on amazon said that these are very poorly made and customer service was very rude and uncooperative. Look good, but that is a deal killer, wood messing up right away and looking like crap. Bad support too. That is too bad, I needed a bed.

not to thread crap or anything but they look terribly uncomfy and they prob just come as a pile of wood and screws for you to assemble

Really? Because I thought they come fully assembled. Who in their right mind would think it would be shipped in any other way than unassembled? This isn't "quality" furniture from a real furniture store.

It's as comfy as the mattress that you put into the bed frame, simply put.

" This isn't "quality" furniture from a real furniture store." hey that was my thought too! also not sure that every mattress would fit like others say altho for 200$ what do you expect.. looks nice but its a picture..

I figure they have a 5 year warranty on it it would be ok since that's what the manufacturer site shows. Well it's only $225 vs $1000 for a bedframe elsewhere. If it doesn't work out I'm putting this in the guest room. Worst case scenario I'll just end up getting a box spring and a new bed frame. I just haven't had much experience buying expensive furniture.

I don't know maybe some people like wooden boards like they do in other countries. I heard it's better for your back. I'm not sure if that's true or not but I can't do it.

Just got the bed 2 days ago drop shipped. So it wasn't very nice of them to just drop it on the front door and not even ring the door bell. Now it took 2.5hrs with my bros help to piece it together, of course it's by no means an extravagant bed but hell it's only $225 shipped so can't ask for more. Anyhow It feels quite solid with it fully assembled, the drawers are very flimsy but will serve its purpose for now until I can afford to buy a nicer frame but I think I'm happy with it for now until I put a mattress on top of it :p. I'll update it again in a but but ALL the pieces were there, the fitting was a bit of a pain however if you FOLLOW directions (Which I didn't it added an extra 15 mins of unscrewing parts of it to get it fitted together nicely).
