Beatbox as computer speakers?

essential

Senior member
I've seen the Dre Beatbox as cheap as $250 in recent months.

I've been considering getting something like this to use as computer speakers, because it could also double by being easily moved into another room or taken out (to a party or something) if necessary.

Is there anything fundamentally wrong with using something like this as computer speakers? It has an AUX in and I assume that's all i'd need.

Thanks.

I don't necessarily need the Beatbox, I just like the idea of an all in one unit that is easy to move. I don't use my computer speakers that much, occasional music and streaming video (never movies or anything).

I have a set of Klipsch 2.1's that I've hooked up to my TV because they didn't get much use on the computer. An all-in-one, as I said, can be moved and used for other things, that added function is what i'm looking for, not necessarily the Beatbox specifically.
