Beat This! Bad Week Contest

OK...

From March 25- April 2:

***My next door neighbor to the right died of a heart attack.

***My next door neighbor to the left died of multiple heath problems.

***I found out my beloved cat has cancer... I have to put him to sleep this week.

***I had to end my 10 year reign of peace with my ex-husband because it became clear our daughter has been emotionally and mentally abused by his wife(she's insane). Ten years of me being the most kind, patient, and understanding Isla I can be have ended and I am now in full Avenging Isla mode. I have called in a professional counselor and a lawyer to handle the situation.

***To top it all off, last night as my husband went to pick up my daughter at the airport, he got into an accident. Not only was he and our son standing by the roadside on the interstate for 2 hours, but my daughter had to wait at the airport by herself for 90 minutes.

Did I mention that two weeks ago, I decided to give up wine? I guess I was meant to feel all the pain I've been missing...

Semper Fi, thanks for the prayers, they are very welcome. Goldenbear, thanks for the sympathy... I've been needing a bit. Red... well... probably by some people's standards, I don't have a problem... but I could tell I was becoming dependent on wine to drown out the 'whines' of 3 children and a grumpy husband at night.

and Unexpurg8d... I can always count on you for the best laugh! Are you sure you don't want to move next door? The house on the left is going up for sale this week.

I'm sorry to hear all of that, Isla.

My girlfriend who lives right across the hall from me was crying hysterically the other day. It turns out her brother was in a fight this past weekend... the guy he was fighting with pulled out a knife and stabbed her brother to death. He was only 22.

Wow Isla, looks like you have "bad weeks" covered for a few months now, at least. Was your daughter freaked out when it looked like no one was going to pick her up? Very stressful for you all, I hope it turns around for you soon!

my grandma's been a wine drinker for 75 yrs, and she's still as sharp as any one I know, a little red wine don't hurt. It's actually supposedly very very healthy.

For us:

Grandmother with cancer
Father-in-law with biopsies and other health problems
Family Friend Die
Brother with massive knee problems
Wife with one cold after the other (3 months of this) She is still hacking!
My Superbowl debacle
Blew out my back two weeks ago and was bed-ridden for 4 days (some birthday)
Didn't get my grant so no raise
Lost out on the same house TWICE!!!!!!!!

I think I'll stop.

Awwwwwwwww thanks, ArkAoss - I went and got a darn job that sucks up all my time.

I will find time to crawl in and poke sticks at y'all once in awhile though.... Isla seems like she could use a poke or two right about now.

Btw, Isla, don't you think the property values have fallen enough without me moving in - even as temporarily as it'd probably be given your current track record?
