Can't beat it, but I work from home, technically 8:30-5:30, I'm in IT sales, my actual hours put it is 25-30/week. I also am able to run a small side business reselling other IT hardware due in part to working from home at my primary job that boosts my income by ~20%.

Based on the fact that in 2009 it took $343,927 to be a 1%'er, the OP has a chance of being in that group assuming that the check is an after tax paycheck for two weeks. If he/she is not in the top 1% (again, assuming after tax paycheck), he/she is very close.

I wish I'd taken a picture of one of mine from the hospital during the big personnel crisis. Not that it was much money (was only making $7/hr at the time), but it was 231 hours in two weeks. Would be hard pressed to find someone with more hours on their check for that time period.

May paycheck has been all over the place due to overtime lately but this is my last one:

$1,620.21

A fraction of what most Atoters make, but it pays the bills. I get paid this week and I worked regular hours so I'll get to see what a normal pay looks like at this new position. It just so happened that since I started I always ended up doing some over time, but have not in the past two weeks so it should be a standard pay. I'm guessing it would be around $1,500 or so. I was making $1,400 or so at my last job. The mortgage payment is $400 and comes out each pay so that left me with $1000 for the rest of the stuff.

Tight, but I manage. This new job will pay well because of the overtime, night shift differentials, and all the other perks. Also more time to myself means I can work on making more money on the side.

Damn, that is a lot of hours. The most that I've generally had in a two week period was around 220 or so. Averaged 106 hours per week for 6 straight weeks (45 straight days with no time off at about 15 hours per day). Biggest paycheck that I've had and used the proceeds to pay my house off ($13,000+ payment from the 6 weeks pay).

Yeah, I pulled straight 16 1/2 hour shifts for just over a month...five or six weeks. Normally I would have told them to blow, but I rather enjoyed the job and if I hadn't we would have lost the contract. Fortunately I was living about 6 blocks from work, so I was able to get home and sleep quick, then get back in time...most days at least.

The gross on those paychecks was only $2145. Think I took home around $1700. Pretty sad given the number of hours and what I had to do for it LOL.

Not jealous. You're part of a system that treats symptoms rather than causes and is more about money and social engineering than about true health.

Plus, you're crass. Real rich people would laugh at you for not only making so little, but also being proud enough about it to post your comparitively meager earnings in a public forum. Being proud of making 200k a year is kind of like being proud to be the best gladiator - you may be able to beat any human but versus a tiger you aren't going to stand a chance. It's not the area you should value since you're never going to be the best at it.

Interesting your company allows it's IT sales staff to sell their own products on the side.

Most do not just due to the fact it would be too easy to steal deals.

I too work in health care and while I'm happy for the OP's big check, let's not forget that someone working long hours is much more prone to make mistakes, those mistakes involve our loved one and other human beings.

(In the intrest of full disclosure, I just finished working a 7 day stretch and cranked out near 70 hours, the 7th day is all double time too )
