Is it just me, or does it look like she shaves her legs?

Last week Harnaam Kaur became the first woman to walk a major runway with a full beard after stepping onto the catwalk for jewellery designer, Marianna Haratunian, as part of a celebration to mark Royal Fashion Day.

Taking to her Instagram to post a picture of her strutting her stuff, the inspirational model wrote about fulfilling her life’s dream to hit the runway:

“I grew up watching America’s next top model. I always wanted to be like the pretty models, so I remember copying the way they posed and walked.

“I grew up being told I was too fat, ugly, and disgusting to even model. I was told I’d never walk the runway.

“I used to look at models and tell myself that I will never ever be able to do what they are doing. I am not pretty enough or beautiful enough and I don’t have the ‘right’ body type. I was laughed at when I said I wanted to model. Jokes on my bullies.”

Lets be honest most guys in this industry are gay men. From my experience gay guys are either exceptionally good at women's fashion, make up and finding hot girls or they are exceptionally bad at it. There is no middle ground. I'd guess this is the later case.

She is clearly being exploited. It's not that much different from how bearded women were presented in circuses. Only now it's accompanied with a smug attitude about how she's challenging societal norms, and anyone who dares say they don't find it attractive is a big old nasty bigot. So completely shielded from criticism and provides nice fresh opportunities for people to scream about oppression and misogyny.

The whole thing about proving to everyone her body type won't keep her out of modeling is a total farce. Her body type has nothing to do with this, she only got the job because of the beard.

If you don't love it, you're a hater and racist!... or something.

Excellent point, if she waxed/shaved or laser her beard would she still be employed?

Sikhs are a very hairy people.
Their religion demands that they never shave or cut their hair.
