that's pretty surprising actually. I would say Oklahoma is the better team--certainly plays in a tougher conference. Sounds like they had already decided the number 1 seeds before they beat us (Kansas) today.

Yeah baby! 😀 I was expecting Oklahoma to get that #1 seed though. The West looks like it's going to be the most even and competitive bracket this tourney. Gonzaga got hosed receiving a #6 so they'll have a chip on their shoulder and out to prove something.
There may be a possible Sweet 16 matchup between Cincy and OSU...really hoping to see that one happen!

Yes. Very poor grad record. I grew up in Cincy and I am a huge Bearcats fan, so I don't say it out of malice. Facts are facts.

BTW, Marquette should beat Kentucky in the second round. That will then be the end of the Tubby era in KY.

They had the damn brackets decided even before the big 12 championship game was decided. What a load of crap.

Lee Fowler, some ncaa committee guy said that the brackets were decided before the game ended because they had to get it ready for the selection special show.

This sh|t is retarded.

Oh well time to get some respect. Lets hope the Sooners do well.

He never said that they wanted it ready for showtime!! What he said was that even if Oklahoma beat Kansas, it would not justify removing Cincinnati from the No. 1 seed, therefore they left Cincinnati as No.1.
I am a Cincinnati fanatic, I am just as shocked as anyone else they got a No. 1 seed.

It was also stated that Cincinnati held that 4/5 place in the National rankings, after coming from an unranked beginning long enough to convince committee that this was proper.

The team that got screwed the most was Memphis. They did not get in and they are better than at least a dozen of the teams in there!!

We beat Marquette twice, Wake Forest, Xavier, and Memphis! I do not need to justify our record to anyone, people who know a lot more about it than I do made this decision. There are a lot of other factors involved than just who we beat. Quit bein so pissy!!!😀

Oklahoma should never have been ranked hgher than Cincinnati anyway!

Well isn't that arrogant. Why do you care how someone refers to their team? I went to KU and when talking about them I still say "we". It doesn't mean that I delusionally think I'm a member of the team. It's just a way of making clear what team you root for. Here's an example for ya.

"Did you see the KU/Oklahoma championship game? They really beat them down!"

See how unclear that is? Versus:

"Did you see the KU/Oklahoma championship game? We really beat them down!"

If you knew the score it would be obvious to make the inference that the person who said that is an Oklahoma fan.

We vs. They... it's mainly for clarity, not to "fill a void".
