Beaming a .doc from a Pocket PC to a Palm?

Hi all,
I haven't researched this much but I thought I'd throw it out to you. A number of my co-workers got their first Palm devices for Christmas. Two of them have Palm Tungstens...not sure of the model but they are pretty much top of the line.
Yesterday I briefly tried to beam a word .doc to one of them, but I got a message something like..."can't find the device" .
What should we be looking for to make this happen?

P.S. All of our devices have Bluetooth as well.
 
Could be number of things. If you tried to beam via IR they need to make sure that IR receive option is on, I believe it's turned off by default in Prefs. If you trying to use Bluetooth you'll need to set up a "partnership" between your devices by running the discovery tool. Also, make sure they Palms have an application that can handle .doc files, such as Documents To Go since Palm platform does not support MS Office files natively.
