the following sentence is in my lease agreement:

Landlord shall not be liable for any damages or losses...caused by theft, vandalism, fire, water, rain, hail, smoke, explosions, sonic booms, or any other causes whatsoever.

???

very strange.

When I lived near the 101st airbourne, we would hear sonic booms. it can knock an item of a shelf, and rattle your glass.

Property damage caused by Sonic Booms are normally excluded from physical damage property policies. Your lease agreement, atleast the sonic boom part, is probably a mere reflection of the owner's insurance policy he has in place for the property.
