Be extremely careful with EMS Computing right now

2 weeks ago many of us sent in orders for items when ems
computing had free shipping. Ems computing immediately
withdrew the money from our accounts and then never answered
any emails about how come the products were not shipped and
no shipping numbers were posted on their sites a week later.
A couple days after that Ems computing sent out emails saying
that the items were 'out of stock' . This was this case for everyone
who ordered the antec sx830 cases for $59 and free shipping. The
site at that time i believe showed a stock inventory of 600 + units.

NOW - Ems computing days later has 'still' NOT PUT BACK THE MONEY
In calling Ems computing the phone is not hooked up . .. just a
message saying they have moved and wont be contactable until
this thursday.

hopefully this is just a group of genuine idiots who put out a special
deal with free shipping and a low price - and then MOVED the next
few days and didnt reply to anyone for 2 weeks ... withdrew the
money knowing they had no inventory and then didnt bother to respond
to their customers ...and THATS THE BEST SCENARIO!

Even if it is a mistake these people are obviously bad business people
and pretty clueless about customer satisfaction .. when to move your
business etc. etc.. they also don't understand that they shouldnt pull
peoples accounts if they know they don't have the stock.. If these guys
dont go broke this week.. then look for next week. My bank says they
have 30 days legally to put back the funds ... now they are selling
antec 1030b cases for 19.95 :) .. good luck!

There are already enough threads warning about EMS Computing.

Welcome to Anandtech! Anyway, your post belongs to ~~~~Brag & Moan~~~~.

Just my 2 cents. You can always dispute your credit card charge since you never received the shipment and EMS Computing will have no proof of completing the sale. No big deal!

Yeah if you payed by credit card, it doesn't really mean the money is out of your account. Just dispute it with your CC company, they will credit you, then they will do all the work in investigating it.

Hope you didn't pay by a check card or something, where money is debited right out of your bank account as you might have to do more work. Credit card is way more safer and you get to keep your money as long as possible, earning interest while you wait till payment is due.

Oh you guys must have something stuck up your @ss. he can post this here as EMS "deals" are relevant to the Hot Deals section.

Was real tempted to get in on this deal for a case, but by the time I decided to go for it, they had raised the prices on their stuff by a good bit. Now I'm glad I didn't...

even though this isn't a hot deal, the message of this post needs to be heard. I almost got the EMS deal for the Samsung 19 inch monitor, but i decided to go order it from Dell instead. It was too good to be true, 179 vs Dell's 239. At least at Dell, i have somebody to complain too.
