Be at the theater all the time while watching movies or playing games

Yes and it depends on how you go to sleep.

If you sleep on your back no problem! If not big problem! So does anyone own my last post goggles or tried them before? Do you think they are worth it even if you haven't used them before?

Does anyone know if they have glasses like this that show you like a huge theater screen ? Like you feel your actually at the theater?

Yes but distractions are easier and you can't take that with you on a plane or boat.

Its more expensive as well.

Do you think any of the eye goggles are worth it ?

I haven't tried one of the newer versions of eye goggle type things, but when I have used something similar in the past, it felt very odd. Something about focusing on something that close didn't seem right. Maybe it's something you get used to though.

It's not that much more expensive with 480p projectors in the $400-$500 range at times.

Different usage for sure, but if you're after something that really makes you feel like you're in a theater in your home, I think it's the way to go.

So you think the goggles are the way to go if you want to feel like your in a movie theater in your home ?

What goggles did you try?

No, I mean an actual large screen that your eyes focus on across the darkened room is how to get the theater feel.

There might be some info on goggles on AVSforum for you.

How much is a budget projector and is the picture quality good if you need to use a white wall for now?

Can you get a 100 inch screen from only around 8 to 10 feet away from the white wall ?

You should try to go out to look at some at a real AV / HT type store that sets them up well.

Something like the occational woot.com IN72 480p DLP projector would be a great budget projector. Last time it was $399 AR.

A white wall will work fine. The important part is getting the ambient light in the room way down. The darker the room is, the better things are going to look.

I wouldn't recommend getting one unless you are going to be watching it when the room is quite dark.

Depending on the projector, the screen size will vary based on zoom setting and throw distance.
http://www.projectorcentral.com/ has screen size calculators for a ton of projectors to give you an idea of what size screen you can get.

Some are designed with short throw or long throw so you can get one that will match your placement options.
The Optoma DV10 is a short throw 480p DLP and would allow you to get in the 100" range at that throw distance.

Projectors aren't for everyone, but I've had very good experiences with mine and it really gives the cinematic experience if that's what you're after.

No thoughts on the virtual projector like glasses?

The one advantage is no expensive bulbs to replace or use up. Being able to bring it with you. You can't do that with a projector.

Thats my problem I don't have a dark room thats why the virtual glasses may be a better idea if quality is the same as a projector.

Take it with you where? you can't walk with those things on and you still need a source. So you take that and a laptop? Why not just watch the laptop screen? It is close enough to be big 🙂 And projectors are pretty portable...
