BCS predictions for next week?

in my own poll i'm kicking SC out of the top 5. no reason they should be playing an unranked team that close at home. i guess i'd have to let florida leap frog west virginia, though now it is obvious that LSU is just a crappy football team. then west virginia, michigan, and texas.

don't forget, if pac-10 refs could tell their ass from a hole in the ground, OU and texas would have been a #7 meets #8 game.

Florida should be, given their impressive showing today & USC's underwhelming last two games. It'll be interesting to see how the computer places WVa & UMich.

I don't think LSU is a crappy team, they were able to make some good plays today, but you have to understand what it's like coming into the swamp, especially on homecoming, when you leave your ears are ringing. I was a little shocked at the auburn loss, and that makes me even more nervous for our game against them next week. They'll have home field advantage, and are coming off of a tough lost, and are a great team. It's gonna be tough, but a win against them next week would likely mean that we won't face them for the SEC championship.

don't forget, if OU could keep a sissy pac 10 team from dropping 501 yards on them, OU and texas would have been a #7 meets #8 game.

i say Florida.

Shouldn't be too hard to predict given how machine-based the BCS is...But yes, I think it will be Florida as well.

But! I don't think Florida would beat USC or WV...

I'll let you know for sure after SC plays Notre Dame and WV plays...uh...Louisville?

FL will be there just based on schedule...thus they wont be there for long 😛
the really interesting question could be whos #3...with USC, WV, Michigan, Georgia (if they win) all with no losses and not really overtly strong schedules left...

LSU couldn't take care of auburn at home. it is obvious that auburn has no offense. LSU has even less on offense than auburn does.

if the swamp is really that hard of a place to play in then maybe floriduh isn't that great either.

USC will be ahead of Florida in the BCS. As it stands right now, USC is 2nd in the polls and 1st in the computers. Florida is 3rd in the polls and 3rd in the computers.

I'll post the full rankings as they stand now when I get a chance, unless mpitts beats me to it.

USC has a rough end schedule. Florida played a crappy LSU version of their team so that doesnt say much i dont think. I think Florida is real good dont get me wrong but i dont think they are top 2.

To be honest, I think the Auburn/LSU game ruined each other's season. Hell, I hurt just watching it.

LSU played Auburn at Jordan-Hare.

To be honest, I think Auburn was out of gas for the South Carolina game and overly cocky going in against Arkansas. McFadden is a beast and Ark. almost always plays Auburn tough. AU's players were getting overly cocky and they don't have a superstar that can take over a game anymore. They need to sack-up this week and do what they do best...play as a team.

meh, SC might have been "underwhelming" but at least they're winning. Can't say the same for Auburn

USC will end up like Auburn...they're squeaking by games (should have lost to either WSU, or Washington) and it will catch up to them at some point this season.

1) OSU
2) UF
3) USC
4) Mich
5) TX

It won't look the same later though cause USC will lose to Cal and Mich will beat OSU. WV may sneak in there based on their tough schedule

usc normally plays much better in the later half of the season, although this year they have a lot of stuff to deal with, besides loosing players, just injury after injury. cal game will be a tough test for them, lets see, hopefully all those #1 recruiting classes can make their impact fast.

That stolen playbook really came in handy too 🙂

But, yeah, McFadden is awesome. BTW, he is only a Sophmore. If you look at the numbers though, Felix Jones also had over 100 yards on the ground with a higher yards/rush. Arkansas really under ultilizes him at times. He is also a sophmore. He had a bad game against USC with several fumbles, but has been rock solid since.

With a healthy McFadden, I'm not sure Arkansas loses to USC.
