so whose gonna place SC in the rose bowl?
Maybe Georgia. I would really love to see a USC v. LSU Rose Bowl.

Meh, I'd rather see LSU play for the national championship.

The most up to date projections have USC vs Illinois in the Rose.

If Illinois squeeks into BCS bowl eligibility, which the should because of the losses of Tennesse and BC, I can see the Rose sticking to tradition and selecting them for a Pac 10-Big 10 showdown.

Why would Illinois get picked? Michigan and Illinois have the same conference record with Michigan winning the head-to-head.

VT has only lost to the #2 team. A lot of the other teams have lost to unranked teams. Due quality of loses matter?

And did NOT get blow out (30+ points or more) in any of their recent (last few years) games....like VT.

Here are my takes: (from various contenders):

UGA - did not win the SEC tittle, heck NOT even their own division
OU - lost to 6-6 Colorado
SC - losing record Stanford (4-8) at home was pretty bad
VT - blow out loss to LSU
KU - only 1 loss but the only one that counted
HI - undefeated but would anyone pick them for NCG?

LSU - did not lost to losing record teams and barely lost in OT (8-4 Ark and 7-5 UK), undefeated in regulation (end of 4th quarter), strenght of schedule and win-loss percentage vs. top 25/winning record teams. Played pretty well with injuries (Flynn, Dorsey, etc.) vs. other teams with injuries (Oregon for example).

Don't take my words for it.

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.c...ss/index.html?bcnn=yes

One last thing, I think ALL major conferences should have conference championship game at the end. OSU should play one as other teams.

Edit: Would you love to see a NCG that go into OT or with climax conclusion that LSU would provide like they did during this season many times over? LOL.... you know you want to so LSU is the RIGHT choice.

I think a lot of us can agree that LSU was not the same team throughout the middle/end of the season due to injuries. They are not the same team that laughed VT off the field earlier in the season. The same team that made all of you drop your jaw in that game and say 'I hope my team doesn't play that team in a bowl'.

But here's the thing. They now get a month to heal...

I can't say that LSU has ever "scared" me. Then again it's a rivalry game for me so I expect a close one. I also expect the refs to do what they can to protect LSWho in Baton Rouge.

Why are you a fan of Auburn and LSU? :p When you say 'scare me' I'm not sure which team you are representing! If Auburn, well no you shouldn't be scared as we have a knack for beating each other up. If OSU, you should be scared by any SEC in a bowl since you have never beaten one in a bowl. ;)

Auburn will always be first in my heart, it's my alma mater. I grew up in Ohio as an OSU fan so they're 2nd on my list. So, if OSU played LSWho for the crystal, I'd root for OSU. If OSU were playing AU, I'd root for my Tigers. :)

As an LSU alum who lives in Baton Rouge and has watched every LSU game this season I don't think they have played well since September.
Also, Jacob Hester should win an Iron Man award for college football.

They might be the third best team in their conference, 'championships' aside.

I'd go 2nd best just behind Jawja.

florida is better as well.

No way. Just because Tebow rang up gaudy stats in garbage time doesn't make them good. They were beat by an average Auburn team, an underrated Jawja team and an undisciplined LSU team.

if you watch to florida/lsu game, you can tell which team is better, and it wasn't the team the won.

I watched the game and thought both teams were depressingly average during that game and I didn't have a dog in that fight. I hate FU and LSU.

The picture is just as muddy as if you did a +1 game to solve the NC picture. Quite frankly six teams can honestly claim worthy to be in the NC game.
