** BBR gets lots of new PC's....

Boy, is that Guy looking for trouble

I'm not sure how long those PCs will be around. I have a bad feeling about the whole issue. I raised my concerns, he claims to have permission so I'll have to accept that as truth.

I saw the thread where you make comment of the date of the email 🙂Hope he doesn't get his self in trouble

Yeah i'm a little concerned about it too he seems a little bit too covert to me 🙁

Hope i'm wrong , but he could get himself into a world of hurt !!!

As it seems like he has NOT specifically told his Boss WHAT he is running and how.

What the hell? This is all I get....

Private forum: The Post Jail forum is used primarily for spam, and other posts that clearly break the site terms-of-use. A post is moved to the Post Jail ratherthan deleted because keeping a copy maybe useful in order to block such posts in future, or the ISP of a spammer may need to be sent an example of the post.

Oh well.

The thread was closed due to the possibility of flaming getting out of control. The Exec over at BBR is keeping an eye on the situation. We just don't want a mob or a witch hunt turning to forum upside down.

He said he installed 3 computers yesterday but no results have come in as of yet.

Thanks seaquake for the update. If he can get them without getting himself or anyone else in trouble (i.e. permission of the correct sort, whatever that may be), then by all means...go for it....but I guess after seeing David McOwen's situation here, I just wanted no one to get in trouble. SETI benefits regardless....but not to the person in trouble!

Actually Seti doesn't benefit if machines are borged without permission because if the case blows up it will drag their name into it. It will make IT directors everywhere hesitate to install it since they will have heard about the case.

That is why written permission is the ONLY way to go. Otherwise you hurt yourself, your team and the project!

Absolutley Crazee, that is why I have kept the freemcowen.com website up and re-dedicated to help in the prevention of that ever happening again to anyone anywhere in the world especially here in the U.S.

Until DC projects become part of the standard load with choices of what project to run who knows if even getting permission in writing is good enough depending on what State you are in. Georgia, Oregon and Tennessee are 3 States to be very wary of.
