You are just discovering this...wow...hey guys...guess what...the US is a superpower...lol

Ozoned, watch the show and make some intelligent comments, i welcome it as i have yet to see many out of you since signing up here.

I watched a good portion of this . . . essentially my understanding of the situation from multiple sources is as follows:

1. Saudi Arabia is almost a desert wasteland with no strong central government (Nomads, people riding around on camels in the 20th century, etc.)

2. Oil is discovered. The U.S. and Britain buy the discovered oil in exchange for military equipment and weapons.

3. Saudi Arabia becomes a modern state with its economy almost solely based on the export of oil. The royal family becomes increasingly powerful in its alliance with the west.

4. The Bush family is in the oil business in the U.S. and forges business relationships with the Saudi families that made billions during the time of the initial discovery of oil in the kingdom, specifically the bin Ladens.

5. Bush family becomes increasingly powerful in the U.S. (Presidencies, etc.)

6. Osama bin Laden attacks various targets including the WTC.

7. Fearing economic retaliation from the Saudis, GWB allows the members of the bin Ladens currently in the U.S. to secretly leave immiedately after 9/11.

8. The Bush and bin Laden families both remain tremendously economically powerful and further enrage Osama bin Laden by invading even more lands in Arabia.

Pretty sad eh?

Oh yeah.

And since the Saudi government is almost completely reliant on U.S. military equipment, the Saudi government is also almost completely reliant on the U.S. and Britain. The U.S. pretty much controls Saudi Arabia. Like Israel, Saudi Arabia is simply a client state of the U.S. and Britain.

i was more interested not on the macro scale (international relations) but the micro, ie. bush connections, his service in the military (25/100 on the test to get him into the guard), tampered documents and the florida situation...they had some good points about florida that every voter should watch
like the 90,000 voters turn away for beiong crimianls, 95% of whom are not criminals and conviction dates in the year 2007...and winning the state by 500 some votes.
Interesting stuff, good facts, credible sources, backed up...interesting to have input on this show...

Do you ever post anything substantive? I can't think of one time you posted something that made sense or that was on topic. I understand pictograms are easier for you but words can convey more complex ideas if you string them together in sentences.

BTW that was Richard Clarke's decision to let the Bin Laden family leave, not Dubya's.

Bush is rich. That's all that matters in a country like the U.S. Money can buy anything you want, including more money.

And only after the FBI had cleared the family members saying it had no need to investigate or question them.

Is anyone downloading the movie??...really interested to hear opinions on this specifically...
sorry for running so off topic in the korea thread conjur...haha...that is getting a little ridiculous...

It's a really good documentary, up to the forum member to download, im not forcing them.
Ppl here do have an interest in politics and might enjoy it...
Some ppl don't get BBC so if it is the only way to obtain information, im sure the BBC won't mind as it is a documentary on america's president.
File sharing through bit torrent is legal...:S

File sharing may be legal, but I'm not sure if sharing of that documentary is just like sharing movies, tv shows, software, etc. is most likely not. Do you have permission or is it public domain? You might want to remove it since you might get in trouble from the mods.

Bad things happen when Ozoned says what's on his mind. Right, Ozoned? 😉

"You might want to remove it since you might get in trouble from the mods. "
Since when have you ever wanted to look out for my best interests.
Till that point, i will keep it up as it is interesting and will be enjoyed by many.

I'm just warning you since I don't think you realize you may be doing a wrong. I don't think piracy is accepted on the forum. Maybe it's ok, I'm not sure, but I'd think that it's illegal.

Bit torrent links are not allowed. However if you want to directly link it that should be fine. The MODs and Administration don't allow file sharing program talk or links. No, I'm not trying to be a MOD - but that is their stance - I guarantee it😉 Just informing you for the future.

You have to keep in mind the method canada chose to enter into the wto and the agreements it entered into, if you are to understand the disdain by Stunt for what we consider proper.😉

I was pretty sure they were allowing BT links to some show that only airs on the BBC in OT.

Don't post them. The file sharing networks are mainly used for distributed copyrighted material which is not permitted discussion here on AnandTech.

That was in response to an inquiry by me asking for clarification.
Are there any set rules as far as posting file links for "file sharing" type programs?

Edonkey
torrents
etc?

Seems pretty clear to me.

PS - MODs I hope you don't mind my quoting your PM to me regarding this issue. Please delete it if it isn't appropriate. It was a direct policy question that seems to once again become an issue. - thanks

So I was wrong, but as long as it's up, why not take advantage of it and discuss it?
