BB T-day Visiontek G3Ti200 Rebate update

Just thought I'd update on this. I pre-bought the visiontek xstasy G3Ti200 for $200 a few days before thanksgiving planning to go back the day after and get the price match. I did so. I did NOT do a "rebuy" (and realized my possible mistake after the sale was over!) but did a pricematch. The receipt said PRICEMATCH and had both the original purchase date, along with the day I pricematched and that's the receipt I sent in.

So, just to make it clear... I pricematched, I did not rebuy. Got it?

Okilie dokilie... I went to http://www.wheresmyrebate.com/today to check yet again to see if it was registering. It's shown up, it's status shows "Approved" (as opposed to "Denied"), and the approx date they'll mail the check is February 17th.

So, it seems it doesn't matter if you rebought or pricematched :)

I already got 2 of the 4 rebates I sent in for these cards. Got them yest and today!

Oh nice site, I already received my rebate on the HDD, hopefully this one iwll come sooner than 2/17 too :)

How long does it take for stuff to get posted there? I sent in my rebate information a while ago and received my certified mail return receipts probably a week or two ago, but my Best Buy rebates don't appear there.

Mine didn't show up yet, but I wouldn't worry about it. Rebate places are usually swamped, so rest assured that their database will be updated sometime in the near future. (I hope) :p

i gotta a $50 rebate two days ago, but i don't know which one it is. How do you tell if it's Ti200 or HD rebate???

I dragged my ass a little before mailing mine, so I'm not surprised mine isn't showing up.

Just checked mine as well and status is approved. I even used the verboten BB "rebate receipt" that so many said would not work. HAHA!

I did the same thing and wasn't worried a bit. There's a bunch of paranoid whinners on this board that are scared of their own shadow that kept chanting doom if you didn't do it their way. Jeeze...I'm glad I listen to myself instead of others :)

I agree fritzo. I had pricematched before and gotten rebate and it worked. It even shows it as returned and repurchased, even though it says pricematched at the top.

yodayoda, I wasted my time at BB on Tday also. Got there at 5:45, when the doors opened at 7 a bunch of latecomers rushed the door and there were no video cards left when I got in. Another anandtecher told me about it. So the moral is, buy ahead of time or be a jerk and rush the door when it opens. It does not pay to wait in line.

This is just not cool... I checked the status of my rebate which I pre-bought....
STATUS: DENIED

ORIGINAL PURCHASE NOT DURING REBATE PERIOD

If the check has the number 21261 printed on the left side of the check above your name it is for the hard drive, several of us have received this one already.:)

Good info, I was a little concerned about this rebate. I also did the pricematch, my rebate is not showing up on the site yet, I sent it in a couple of weeks after the pricematch though.....
