Couple items for my BB:

Recently I had posted a thread about some enterprise email account password appearing on my BB desktop. A couple days ago it just disappeared from my desktop.

A week or so ago I received a system message that another person was requsting for my BB to be added to their contact list. Mine is a personal unit and I'm not really sure how mine was detected by another.

The last 2 days my unit has been dropping it's wireless feed. It will no longer d/l email or conect to the internet unless I turn off/on the power or wireless signal on the unit. Is there some way to push my signal or do a master reset to fix this? I remember having this problem a long time ago but don't recall doing anything and it just went away.

1 - Was the 'system message' related to BlackBerry messenger? It could well be that they have put in your BB PIN rather than their friends, which may be similar. It cannot be 'detected' by random people.

2 - If your BB is dropping data or BB service do a hard reset by popping out the battery and replacing it. If it carries on, get an OS update from your network provider. Go to Options/About and post the first line, e.g., mine says. "BlackBerry 8120 smartphone (EDGE,Wi-Fi) v4.x.x.xx". The version number is important, not the platform number that comes after.

This was the message, it was sent to a numerical sequence from Blackberry messenger.

I do normally just leave my phone on the desk when I walk around the building, does this mean someone had to pick it up while I was gone and get my phone id#?

OK. Got it.

1 - You don't have BlackBerry messenger installed and normally that message would be intercepted by it.

2 - OS 4.5 is out and you should upgrade. I have had 4.5 variants on my 8120 for some time and it's great, even over 4.3. A move from 4.1 to this should be quite a boost.

It says on the BB page that the OS is for 'Asia', but ALL OS's have English in them, so this is bogus. Use at will! Just please, PLEASE update to the latest version of Desktop Manager, then do a backup before doing the OS upgrade. Set aside 1.5 hours to complete the upgrade.
