BB guns

Just looking for tips on a BB gun. I've never owned one, but want to get one for some target practice.

I do know I want a rifle a with a scope. .177 caliber. pellet or bb

Don't know what brand to buy and if it should be air or spring.

Also the pros/cons of single shot or repeater.

I am looking for something around $200 or less.

Something with great accuracy and speed.

Thanks!

Get something with a clip or at least some sort of reserve. I bought a single shot and it kinda sucks to have to reload it every time you wanna fire.

This is what u need BB minigun

Holy crap. You could easily kill someone with that.

How the hell did the thing catch on fire is what I'm wondering about, was it a TV?

It was obviously a TV that was plugged in.

Or the flyback capacitor had a hefty charge in it.

That's what I'm thinking.

That too. 😛

i only ever used to have Daisy pump BB rifles. It had a bb reservoir or you could load pellets in 1 at a time.

i owned 1 BB pistol and 1 pellet pistol - both C02 cartridge based. unless you don't mind spending money on the CO2 cartridges, get a pump. The BB pistol had a reservoir and you had to cock it each shot. the pellet pistol looked like a semit-auto pistol but it had a 6 shot (i think) cyclinder that you inserted into the gun.

It's been a long time since I used any BB gun but the cartridges were not cheap and they didn't last long.

I would go with a Benjamin if I was going to buy an air rifle.

Benjamin Silver Streak

Powerful accurate pellet gun IMO. I have one on a very long loan from my brother in law. 😀

I have a benjamin. Had one that was my dads when I was a kid and got one to pass down to my kids. Great rifles that last a lifetime.

I've got a Powerline 880 and a Powerline 1000. The 880 is accurate as hell, but the 1000.... Let's say I love what hollow points do to pests 🙂

I'd recommend an Air Arms Pro Elite or a Beeman RX-2 or Beeman R-9. If those are too expensive, then the Chinese knock-offs are not too bad.

Same here.

My Benjamin .177 is 20 years old, and still shoots like brand new.

All they need is proper maintenance, and also never over pump.
