I have this one and no it's nicest on the market, but it is pretty darn good.

It has 64 MB of MMC memory and sounds great with 96kbit rippled MP3s. You can use Windows Media Player or do what I do. Use Music Match and treat it like a RIO.

Music Match lets your "downgrade" to a lower bit setting on the fly.

AAA Rechargeables last a good seven to eight hours...longer with Alkaline.

Have fun!

The only thing weird about this unit is it uses two 32meg MMC Cards for storage. So you have to transfer the files accoringly to get the full use of the "64 Meg" memory. Basically, you become a living defrag. :)

I got this IPaq for my wife and it is really pretty nice.

Pros:
-Ultra-tiny size. She wanted that "armband" mp3 player, this one is almost as small.
-GREAT sound compared to the Rio (I've got the old Rio 300)
-Great display and easy button layout.

Cons:
-MMC is yet *another* memory card standard. And the two 32mb cards are not as good as one 64mb.

Battery life is not bad. It uses 2-AAAs and they're holding up well. AAAs are cheap anyway.

Which MP3 players use CF for storage. I remember one that was about $100 a while back, but I can't find it anymore.
