is the geek squad plan worth it for an additional controller? its 8.99, and the terms should cover wear and tear, including accidental damage and handling.

from what i've read/seen, the ps4 controller has some notorious L2 button issue where it wears down.

Price seems reasonable to me. I guess as long as you don't have any hardcore physical damage they would replace it for you.

Hard to predict. Just a matter of if the deals include games a person wants I guess.

Currently this would fall into the Amazon or Bestbuy (elite status) return period if unopened. Guess a person could order it and not open it. Wait for the leaks and then decide what's the better deal....Food for thought.
