Bay Area Folks: Mr Roadshow from Mercury News

A week ago I emailed this guy on the SJ Mercury News who has a column about traffic. People ask him questions or file in complaints. It's really the only way to get things fixed i the South Bay.

Today he EMAILS ME (he responded to my question last week already) with a complaint from soneone else about a certain street...

Then he says:

"can your folks check this out?" Now that'd be fine if he mass emailed and he misttyped "your" as "you," but this was addressed to me. What's scary is this street is where my mom works. Part of me is freaking out.

Now at first I thought "Ok, I email this guy, so he probably emails all his fanbase telling them to look out for traffic stupidities in the area" which makes his job easier right? So this might be a coincidence or whatever, but wow... I'm tempted to call my mom right now to ask.

Edit: reading it over again, maybe he got me confused with the City, because the complaint he got asked "can you ask the City of Santa Clara when this will be fixed?" I'll reply to him to see what's up.

I love his columns. There is a piece from last year on how he got started. It's kinda weird if you think about it.. Who cares about traffic and driving? But this is where the local paper has it's niche. I am not sure if it can work at other cities.

Ha, I always read Roadshow even though I think the guy is a bit of a blowhard. I almost wrote in when he asked for "bad drivers" to explain themselves.
