Bay Area 2405fpw backorder: Why and what can we do about it?

This happens with Dell twice now to me. It makes no sense.

Order date: 3/11, Est: 3/23, but today I get a message saying delayed until at least 3/30/05.

Why are others ordering and getting theirs delivered in 2 days?

Please explain this to me and let me know if I'm the only one. Is it all bay area orders that are getting screwed, or just a few?
