Guess most of them are 20-somethings or less and simply weren't around for the original so they don't really care.

I'm really not terribly impressed.

Though one big improvement: There are more than 3 battle scenes that replay over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over...

I watched about 15 minutes of it and could stand no more. The effects were cool, but the acting was so bad I had to turn it off.

Yeah I am rather less than impressed as well....

I mean I am only into the first half of the pilot but so far the story kinda blows....

The original Cyclon war was over, they took off for something like what? forty years??? then in that short amount of time humanity can rebuild itself....and yet learn NOTHING from the past....

The sheer fact that all of their new battlestar ships were so easily defeated because of "computer networking" is laughable at best....and now what is going to happen in the new show? will they have to find alot of old crap ships to battle with?? how will they repair them??

I am going to watch the second half tongiht and hopefully things get better but I am not expecting it that is for sure.

i watched the both parts tuesday and last night. I loved it. I was a huge BSG fan when i was a kid but this mini-series blew it out of the water. I will definatly be watching the show tomorrow night and i hope it is just as good as the mini-series.

by the way the BGS episodes are already online, i think they showed the series in europe this past summer.
