Just wanted to say those that love Battlestar Galactica and want to see it live on for years to come, get over to the URL I posted and send a email. Personally I think this show could come close to rivaling cult status, somewhat that of Star Trek.

Look if you love the show, David Eick the executive producer, has a section on the website to send a email to.

ALOHA

I think it's just that the season is over, isn't it? There not cancelling it like the did Firefly, are they?

they should definetly not draw it out to endless crap, they have a good story going on which must have an end

Can we rewind to where the Pegasus shows up and restart from there?

 Yeah, have to agree with that!! It seems season 2 just tried to bite off more than they could chew. The story lines were so complicated, with so many different things going in different directions at once, that it was difficult to follow. And gawd help ya if you missed an episode......you'd take 3 weeks to catch up on everything!

The first season was tough, gritty and fun to watch. The second season seemed to have lost all that, and did too little with too much (if that makes any sense?). Seems to be the fate of the BG series......let's hope they break through that curse with season 3, and get back to the hard-charging, ambrosia-drinking, cigar-smokin', cylon-killin' viper pilots that we all know and love!!

That's exactly why they had season 2 go the way it did though; they didn't want the show to get stuck with "run out of <x> resource, find it on a planet with some cylons, have a fight, come close to destruction, Starbuck saves they day, they move on until next week" every episode.

I kinda feel like the second season, if a little bit weak, was a kind of necessary transition and it left things really interesting for season 3.

I must admit, my interest in BSG has declined ever since Pegasus arrived. The plot just seems too forced to me, like they are trying too hard.

It sucks that you can't get good storytelling on TV anymore. It's always "Let's drag on this show for as long as possible!".

At this rate I'm starting to think Sci-Fi is going to go cash-cow on us and before you know it we will be looking at a SG-1/Atlantis/BSG crossover series. blech!

*sniff*

is there an email to send for them to bring back Firefly?

Battlestar Galactica was hard for me to get into....I guess it might be because of my bf drooling over that asian chick every week. But then again..he drooled over Inara on Firefly plenty too. I don't know.. Battlestar Galactica was boring to me.

I thought the second season was pretty amazing. I prefer bizarre, twisty plots. There were a couple "24" style headslaps, but in general I liked season 2 as much as season 1.

second season had more character development. which i think its a good thing, learn more about who they were. And they even showed the Cylon side of it which was pretty cool.

They coulda done it better though...the hostage thing and the dealing with black market guys was not convincing enough. I do like how they deal with possible issues such as abortion and black market profiteering.

I agree with notfred. The first season was absoilutely amazing, especially the mini series. 2nd season was still prettydamn good UP till the point where the admiral died. Then it went way downhill from there. It's starting to turn into another enterprise. I thought the cylon occupied caprica was a major joke and a laughable/boring epside at best. Caprica Six? How lame is that.

I'm not too excited about the 3rd season.

i loved almost every single episode so far... very gritty... starbuck can sometimes be a little much, though.

i loved when tricia helfer showed a softer look - ponytail, warmer makeup etc..

I loved season 1 and 2 and I look forward to season 3.

BSG can do no wrong in my book. It hits all the necessary requirements (action, melodrama, character development, varied storylines).

but thats just me.

BSG has been a very good series up until the season 2 finale. Either it's a) a dream sequence in which we can call cry "WEAK!" or b) it's real and all I can say then is WTF?

I tried Dr. Who last week. OMG. Make the pain stop. BSG on it's worst days is still better than that drivel.

I thought the 2nd season was great. The finale was a bit 😕 but otherwise it was awesome.

QFT. I don't get all the hate here....

Actually, I do agree with the one comment made that the 'Black Market' episode was a little off. But otherwise, I have no complaints.

BSG is the wtfpwn... but wth was up with that last episode?

As if it weren't bad enough that the human race was below a 50k pop.... they had to let a british Bush run the people even further back?

I hope it was a dream someone had and that the new season will go back to pwning terminators in what I have to say are the most realistic space fighting maneuvers I have seen on the TV.

Hey, all I can say is, IF, you are a true Sci-Fi fan as I am, then no one can say this show sucks, from a Sci-Fi lovers stand point, it rocks.

Yes that email didn't work for me either, well if anyone can find one PLEASE let us know.

THANKS

I would go so far as to say that it's a pretty cool show for the non-sci-fi lover - it's got a lot of heart to it - not all that common these days with the shows out there. Granted, I just finished season 1 and am making myself take a little break before I break into season 2 - riding the cliffhanger ending a little.. I can only guess that Adama's okay.... somehow... please?

Don't worry, you can spoil it - I won't be coming back to this thread 😉

Galactica and Pegasus are on their way to Earth to defend against the Ori and the Wraith. Once those threats are neutralized, the Asgard will take care of the Cylon problem.
