Most of the people bitching probably haven't actually seen it. Just like John Carter.
I dunno if there is a current thread for it but since its hitting the shelves, or has hit the shelves depending where you live, I thought I would give my review of it:
I had questions while watching it like, "what are these 'rays'?", and they never got answered.
It was answered/presented as limitless power.
John Carter actually wasn't that bad of a movie. I thought the only issues were that they expected you to ignore certain things in the movie. I had questions while watching it like, "what are these 'rays'?", and they never got answered. I really don't think people enjoy it when people talk about such obscure things, but never really explain anything about it. It makes for a frustrating movie experience.
Also, for about the first half hour of the movie, I had a hell of a time telling the bad guy humans from the good guy humans. It made a lot more sense when they simply said "red is bad, blue is good."
Oh, andI thought the ending was awesome.
Pretty sure it hasn't hit the shelves yet given its release date is August 28. 😛
However, yaaaaar! Methinks ye be meanin' it be available on the high seas!

Battleship played Fortunate Son & Thunderstruck. All these alien movies play lets kick the alien ass song. So lame.
I'm surprised Will Smith didn't do a cameo and say "Welcome to Earth" with a cigar in his mouth.
If aliens ever come to Earth and they disable communications, the national grid, government and transportation for starters. We be in the dark and powerless. What's sad is that is would take them only a few hours at most to do that. Our entire infrastructure isn't exactly bullet proof.
That reminds me, Clue is due out on Blu-Ray on Tuesday. So you guys may as well skip Battleship and just pick up Clue.😛Battleship

It's no wonder one was a successful boardgame movie and the other one stunk.
It is a cheesy pop-corn action flick with aliens...Are you really expecting deep plots and character development in this movie???...Special effects were good and I am going to buy it because it will look and sound awesome on my setup in my living room...I knew what to expect from this movie, set the bar pretty low and wasn't dissapointed..

Yamato was the battleship.
Yamamoto was a WW2 era Japanese admiral.

yes I know... You have been trolled.
yes I realised its a weak come bac, you got me ;-)
can't believe I messed up like that.
I'm not related to the admiral 😛
Edit: he's a general and commander in chief 😵
Yamamoto ordered the construction of the Yamato :whiste:
That is how you stretch a story.
