That's why I love playing Horde! :D

There are always thousands of Alliance waiting on the other side. Usually my waiting time is less than 5 minutes, and then, on to fight Night Elf Rogues and Paladins who think they are teh l337 medieval jedi and thus, don't heal their team mates.

I love it!

What server are you on, and which BG are you trying to get into?

The longest I've waited was 30 mins to get into Alterac, and like 5-10 mins to get into Warsong.

Man, even waiting for 5 mins is too long imo. WTF are they doing? The game has been out for what, 8 months now, and it still has queueing problems?

if you are having queues its because you are either low lvl, or trying to enter with a large group. just go in by yourself and select first available. ive never had to wait more than a minute

Yeah I'm talking about Battleground queues, not main server queues... I'm glad they only allow so many people in BG's at once, the lag would be worse than it already is if they didn't have a cap.

Well perhaps they should create more BGs then... having to go into a queue system for anything in an online game is absurd to me.

You could always join Horde.
:D
Shattered Hand wait for Horde is typically none. You need to account for the number of people attempting to enter.....

I don't think there's a limit to the number of Battleground instances there can be at a time.

The problem is the populations imbalance. Because Alliance outnumbers horde so much inmost servers (5 to 1 in mine for example) sometimes there are simply not enough horde to provide the alliance with opponents (specially in Alterac Valley which requires 40v40). That's why waiting is so short for horde, and so long for alliance.

There is a limit, especially for Alterac... I don't know what it is, but there is one.

And on my server the population is close to being even, slightly in favor of the Horde, and we still have the queues... It'll die down once the newness wears off.

What server do you play on? It must be interesting to have more horde than alliance for once :)

Sargeras, and everything I've ever looked at has pointed to the population either being even or slightly more Horde... Most people I speak with that have characters on the server are under the same assumption as well.

I could be wrong, but I've never seen or heard anything that would say otherwise. ;)

i think the queues are warranted. Blizz made some comment they have servers dedicated to the BG / CTF. The servers wait for enough players on both sides to start the 'instance'. No point in zoning into a BG / CTF if both sides dont have enough players to play =\

Frostmane has more horde than alliance, though alliance have stronger guilds and a greater proportion of 60's.

i just think the estimated wait times are a joke. it'll say 9mins and u end up waiting 30 to get in. why taunt us with a time unless u make a match start exactly every half hour. then you would know when to show up and when you can go quest in the meantime.

I played tonight for the first time... 5 games back to back in the lvl 40-50 Warsong Gulch instance. Horde wait times were minimal on my server.
I think out of those 5 games Alliance had 1 or 2 flag caps. Most games were 3-0 horde.

Alliance had a real tough time with the concept of healing teammates, they also did not do well with focusing fire on healers. We didn't focus fire on healers either, but it was pretty unnecessary given how rare it was for an alliance to heal someone meaningful.

I usually get in in a decent amount of time. Sometimes there's a long wait, but so far it's been ok.

I love Warsong Gulch.

Go Horde!

Blizzard has stated that there is NO LIMIT to the amount of BG instances. They are hosted on their own servers and the queues are ONLY attributed to the wait associated with finding enought people to start playing. As alliance you may have issues just because there are less horde to match up against. It has nothing to do with blizzard, and they arent making you wait just for the hell of it. The estimated times are calculated based off previous wait times and thus could really change at any time.

Yeah, what he said.

I wish I had chosen Horde when I had the chance, but I've been playing since Christmas and I just dinged lvl 50.

Anyway, CTF is awesome. I was disappointed at first, because in the instance, it was always 10 alliance vs 6 or 7 Horde and it was no challege (45 minute wait for 7 minutes of play.)

The last 3 times I've been in, however, it's been an even match that lasted seemingly forever. Horde definitely seems to have more strategy at times.
