I saw the trailer for this last night, it looks pretty damn awesome. Even though it's a cross platform game, it looks pretty frickin awesome.

The environments have been tuned to be more destructible, bricks can now be chiseled away, and even the frames of buildings that could not be destroyed in BC1 are now subjected to the laws of explosives as well.

I could not believe the trailer was actual gameplay footage, but it appears to be so. Medic fans, shock paddles are here!

Although maps right now are limited to 24 players, I'm sure PC servers can hold more, PLUS, in BF2, smaller servers for me tended to be a lot more fun, especially on Wake, although huge maps like the marshlands were best with 64/64.

This looks brilliant, and if it's an appetizer for BF3, I'm salivating already. This game looks like the dog's bollocks all by itself.

Link to hi-def gameplay trailer.

I sort of doubt it. I think with Bad Company 2 they want it a bit more serious and less "nade launch lolz" that people complained about in the first one.

That said, I remember watching the Bad Company gameplay vids and I remember the maps were pretty damn big considering it was a console game, and for the PC, Bad Company 2 has a limit of 40 players, which makes sense.

What I liked about Bad Company 1 was looking at all the assortment of guns they had available. My only real hope is that

1) Its not laggy and buggy as shit (which is probably going to be the case because it is DICE)
and
2) The weapons and firearms will have select fire. Watching some of the gameplay vids of BC1, I suspect it might not be. :(

I don't think it will this time, but who knows? In CoD4 the menu can take a while to load, but I think it'll be more seamless this time.

A short interview about BF: Bad Company 2:

thanks for the link, I like how he said the weapons were going to be designed to have a more military feel to them. That certainly sounds encouraging.

No prone impacts NOTHING and I have played more BF games than any of you to make this statement. :)

What else is new. I'm just going to stick with BF2 until they can come out with a PC exclusive.

Is BC1 worth getting on Xbox 360 for single player? I'm new to the Xbox platform and am thinking about getting BC1 before playing BC2. It will be single player though because I have a real problem with paying for Xbox Live so I can play on laggy P2P connections.

At this point I'm going to stop buying new games and play the good, old games. Just like CS 1.6 is still popular I will stick with CS:S and BF2.

So why did you buy a Xbox?

You're aware that Xbox 360 has a lot of single player titles, aren't you?

I don't agree that all Xbox single player games are terrible. I'm a PC gamer from way back, and it will always be my primary platform. But recently I moved my Xbox from the lounge (where it was used 100% as a media center) to my gaming room, and am enjoying some titles not available to me on PC like Forza 3.

It's just plain stupid to say that all Xbox 360 games are terrible.
