Battlefield Hardline

The beta comes out today, free and open. I did not play the original beta so I don't know what to expect but the gameplay videos I've seen look pretty good. I was really extremely disappointed with BF4 so hopefully these guys can deliver.

The closed Beta of Hardline was quite stable, there was some bugs but honestly the game felt amazing. The lack of multiple modes really ruined the experience but i think this is going to be great now with more then one.

Willing to bet its going to feel and play better then BF4 at least netcode wise,i'm pre-loading it now and looking forward to it🙂

My friends seem pretty excited about some of the ways Hardline will open up the traditional BF gameplay elements - mobile capture points, a different vehicle/weapon set come to mind. I can't say I really know much about it.

One of them played already and quite enjoyed riding around bumping 2 Chainz. Allegedly.

Watched a stream on twitch of him playing, it has the same problems BF4 had.

It has no ping restrictions, so you got people with 300ms pings playing with 10ms pings.
Terrible UI setup.
Unbalanced gameplay, just like BF4, you will have one side completely dominating the other side till end of round.
Helicopters are overpowered like BF4, everyone was shouting in chat "kill that damn heli!"

Everyone is playing a sniper class of course.

The one thing i will say that looks like its better than BF4 is the smooth gameplay, no delays when switching weapons, no "slow motion laying down" motion. Even the jumping over things is faster/smoother. The graphics are not that great anymore.

This game would be a steal at $20 something, but not a full AAA game, and certainly not like BF4 stupid pricing for expansion packs and subscribe to it.

Yeah GTA 5 is better, I have it on PS4 and it's A LOT of fun. Hardline is basically hurting the Battlefield franchise.

So they finally get BF4 working right (from what I hear, haven't touched it in over a year), then they release its replacement, which will probably be broken for another year.

Let me guess... there will be unlocks and everyone will have different gear, so the playing field isn't level (again).... no thanks.

The only Battlefield I'd buy is Battlefield 2 HD, made with the new engine, but with B2's gameplay and mechanics.

From what I understand the CTE program has been funneling all their development insights into Hardline. It was kind of a disaster in the previous beta. I actually have high hopes for the level of polish. I still don't think hardline is a good use of the BF name, but they learned their lesson from BF4 I think.

I'm actually quite excited about this; haven't cared to touch BF4 in months, and don't miss it one bit.

Had a blast with the first beta.

I'm interested in the changes they've done to class weapon design, but i'm too busy trying to get DMG in CS:GO to play hardline. Plus i have school.

I wish they would go back to 1942, all they seem to be doing now is copying stuff thats already out there. I'm sure there are new single player features, but who really buys these games to play alone?

In one sentence you manage to complain because they don't do anything original while wishing they'd stay the same.

Anyway, EA hate or not, todays BF/COD games just aren't my thing.

To be fair, WWII fps has been dead a few years. Not like there are a ton of genre options. I'm getting a bit of 'modern' war burn out as well.

Apparently there is an open beta for it now if you have origin, I have not looked myself yet

Had a car drive through one person with no harm, should have been a roadkill but that in itself annoyed me.That was really the worst of it.All in all miles better then BF4 was in beta by a long shot.

Game has its perks and at times its simply miles more fun then BF3/BF4 then other times it feels cheap.

It should be better than BF4 was in Beta, since this game has been in beta for almost 2 years. It's just a re-skin of BF4.

That would be true if it was 2011, but I am not comparing Bad Company 2 to Battlefield 3. I'm comparing everything that they have made since Battlefield 2 as being closely related.
