Hey guys, I bought 2 copy's of the game for my brother and I. The game runs great on my computer in dx10 im playing all high settings with 1680x1050 2xAA 4xAF. I average like maybe 45-50fps.
My brothers PC is aging tho, and im not sure if it would be worth to swap video card or not.
His specs
Opteron 165 D/c @ 2.6ghz
2gb DDR1
8800GTS 640mb "this is the original 8800gts"
200GB hdd
Surprisingly the game runs ok on this system, but the fps is a little low. If i set the graphics to medium "which makes the game look better and easier to play" the fps is in the 20's and 30's most of the time. If i lower the graphics to low the fps goes up an average 10-20 over medium so hes getting around 30-40fps. This is on DX9 1xAA 1xAF @ 1280x1024.
The resolution isnt so high so im thinking the cpu isnt playing A HUGE factor in the game, it might be the graphics card since changing the graphics quality is what resulted in the fps changes not the resolution. "Changing resolution didnt change the fps" I have a Ati 4850 512mb in a box when i replaced it with my 4890. Would this video card be better then the 8800gts 640mb.. Or is it pretty futile.. He always tell me in games he doesnt care about graphics or anything, but when i tested the game out on his pc to find the right settings i felt sorry for him when tree's were refreshing 2 feet in front of me due to low AF and low textures.
