In for one, thanks OP.

I wish steam had it close to this price, I prefer to buy there but at this price I can't pass it up.....

Now I know I'm in trouble because I'm going to want a new video card. Currently have a 4850 and run 1920x1200, I hope the 5850 prices drop soon.

Ordered MOH on preorder. Be careful on the payment screen if using Firefox and you want to use Paypal. Two little boxes come up at the bottom of the total that say Add to Cart. Mouse over this carefully until you see the paypal url show up on the bottom left of the browser window. Clicking on this very small spot will take you to the Paypal payment screen.

The code in your receipt is the CD key. Just make a copy of a friend's retail CD or torrent it and you're good to go 🙂

Can you order more than one if you order one at a time? Two games in the cart still just gives you $20 off.

I was able to buy 2 different games with the same account and everything (had to put in 2 separate orders), but it won't let me buy 3. lol Got BFBC2 and DA:Awakenings for $40. Awakenings being a physical copy. I wanted to preorder MoH also but I can't. Good deal nonetheless.

Never has saving money cost me so much. Couldn't resist the price, but now I need a new video card. My 7900 just doesn't cut it anymore. Hopefully with the release of the new Nvidia cards ATI 5830 or 5850 price will drop soon.

if the rest of your pc is as old or older than that 7900 then you will likely need a better cpu. you can forget about lower prices for a while as the Nvidia cards are already priced higher so ATI has to do nothing but stay status quo.

I really don't know why people think they need to drop hundreds on upgrades to play this game. I'm playing with a 8600GT and a slow ass dual core E4300. I dropped the res down to 1280x720 and on medium settings it plays fine... and still looks great. My monitor scales it up to 1680x1050 and it looks good... no need to play all games at your monitor's native res.

just giving him a suggestion since he was planning on upgrading the gpu. not everyone wants to play with medium settings and low res.

i now have a gameboner

this is essentially buy 1 get 1

does anyone know when the $20 promo code ends? you can use it twice and I went ahead and bit on BC2 and would like to pre-order Dead Space 2. problem is I wont be able to cover it till Tuesday.

Nah the rest is decent enough, E8400 and 2gb ram. I am planning on upgrading to an i7-930, but maybe I should hold off and upgrade the video card first. By soon I meant more by the time I have the money. Probably summer time frame.
I tried playing the game on low and it was still jerky. It might be a directx thing as well as I can only do 9, while the 8600GT can do 10.

I am happy enough and will make it ok. I was just joking a bit as I very rarely play games unless one like this comes out that really grabs me. First MOH was this way. Had to upgrade just to play it too. Par for the course with me.

just got mass effect 2 with the pinnacle station add on for ME1 to even it out to $40... came out to $22 total.

now trying to decide if i should buy dragon age or bfbc2

like everyone else has said... it's going to make me want a new video card. and i know i have a tax refund coming next week.

must... maintain... control....

edit: anyone else getting slow download speeds? getting about half what i normally get on steam right now. thinking their servers are overloaded from this sale

you might want more ram though. I know even a while back 2gb wasnt enough for Warhead and Clear Sky. they hitched pretty bad at times on my previous pc till I put in an extra 1gb.

so can the initial EA store download actually be saved?

Yes. Once you download it, the full installer for the game as it would be on the DVD resides in whatever directory you have EADM set to for the "cache files". By default, it's under C:\ProgramData\EA Core\cache\EADM\{Whatever your ea login is}\bfbc2_dd.

Is it true there is no LAN play for Bad Company 2? That would be a deal killer.

I'm looking for another game we can play on the LAN when we get together to play CSS, COD series, HLDM, and L4D2.

No lan play is hardly a deal breaker. I wouldn't want to play with less than 20 people anyways.. the maps are entirely too huge for a few people to play on a lan.

Steer clear. The EA download system is CRAP. You need several different accounts, and even then it's hard as hell to redownload games. Don't believe me? Before buying the game, pretend it's 1 year from now and you want to redownload the game. Try to find it on the EA site.

Steam is the only way to go.
