battlefield bad company 2 no aa SOLVED

So with 10.2 drivers 5870, I do not have an AA option with vista 64 ultimate.

My brother with a 5770 10.1 also is lacking the options above 1x, my other friend has a 5850 10.2 windows 7 and has aa options.

I tried changing the settings file directx from auto to 10 and 11 but it makes no difference.

Anyone running a 5870 and windows vista 64 have more than 1x AA option in game or know how to fix it.

SOLVED.

Apparently autoupdate will not show you the service packs if you have not downloaded the ie8 update. I ignored it because, well, I do not use ie8. After updating I will truly have dx11 and should have my AA options.

Did you participate in the beta? Maybe some left over trash from the beta is causing me issues?

Delete all your leftover beta trash. Try 10.3 preview drivers.

I deleted local content from beta. I'd rather wait for 10.3 release version, unless there is some verification that it fixes my issue.

Why would you think that??? I had AA yesterday on my Vista 64 build as well.

Where did you see an option to change directx from 10 to 11?

Documents\BFBC2\settings.ini

Go to where it says DxVersion and type in 9 for 9, 10 for 10, 11 for 11, or auto to let it auto detect.

That's because XP only has DX9. You need DX10+ for AA in BFBC2. Theoretically Vista and W7 should both have it, but I do not..
