I'm using for MSI Afterburner for FPS.

What the deal with collectible weapons? Is this something I have to earn to use in multiplayer? I'm currently trying the single player campaign.

I see you've been away from the BF series for a while. 😀

Battlelog started with BF3 and once you get used to it you will never want to go back. With the stat tracking, friends list, server browser, game updates, forums, and news all in one place, its awesome.

Odd, mine always loads from Firefox since I have it set as my primary browser, and I have IE and Chrome installed also.

Odd indeed. Mine loads Chrome (my default browser) every time.

Not sure about SP, Never played more than 5 minutes of it. But in MP as you get kills with certain weapons you unlock other weapons. You can also earn other weapons by completing deeds like 10 Assault rifle, 5 knife, 5 sniper kills in a round, or something similar to that.

Use the ~ key to pull up the console and type:

perfoverlay.drawfps 1

Thank you

I'm new with the origin interface. As you can tell I haven't played BF in a while, BF2:BC was the last game I played, which reminds me, I can't redeem my product code through the origin interface ??? ,,, but back to my question about the interface what would you recommend turning off and keeping on in the Application settings, and Account and Privacy, settings?

Thanks 🙂

EDIT: Oh! Can I move the entire BF4 folder to my storage SSD drive after installation? I just seen you can select where to install games at. Duh, i feel stupid

Not sure about BC since I never played it, but BF2 and BFBC2 are both in my Origin games list.

Application settings: I have Origin set to start with windows since I play BF4 pretty much on a daily basis. I also have it set to auto update games and Origin. I had some issues with cloud storage syncing at one point so I turned that off, but that has been a while back so that may be fixed now.

Notifications: just depends on what you what to know about, if you check everything, it can get annoying when you have a lot of friends online. LOL

Origin in game: I have it enabled without issue but have heard some people have had problems with it.

Account/Privacy

Privacy settings: Im sharing nothing.

Security: I highly recommend you turn on Login Verification to receive either a text or email when you or someone else tries to access your account from another PC, they will then have to have a backup code to gain access.

To answer your last question, I have moved my game folders to another drive but I honestly cant remember exactly how I did it but it works.

As a heads up, BF4 like BF3, comes with a slough of errors on the PC. The issues vary from the game crashing, being disconnected randomly and for no reason from EA-Origin, stuttering audio/video, etc. There are some patches and work-arounds that try to address the issues, but there isn't a definite fix.

I should have learned my lesson from the nightmare that was BF3 to not purchase BF4, but their (effective) marketing and my itch for a new (at the time) FPS got the best of me. In between the game randomly crashing and not saving completed progress, causing me to replay major segments of the campaigns, or in the middle of gameplay the Origin client wanting to show itself to me, or the audio/video getting stuck in a loop, is only a decent FPS.

At $50, I got ripped off. Even at $5 and all the trouble I went through, it's still a rip-off. Save your money for a better game.

YMMV.

YMMV....Id say!

Ive gotten lots of mileage out of both games. Nearly 1,000 hours in BF3 and now nearly 800 into BF4, with none of those issues you mentioned. 🙄

What is with the lens flare? There are numerous specks on screen, sometimes in a dark area with no direct light source. How do I turn off this crap? Even J.J. Abrams didn't use this much.

Now that is a legitimate complaint, and unfortunately there's no way to get rid of it. BF3 was worse than BF4 in this regard.
