Is there any chance that the retail version will perform better then the demo? I know that the demo was released after the game went Gold but is their still a chance? The FPS fluctuate a lot and AF is a killer due to the draw distances.
 
IGN had an FAQ and there were some questions about demo problems w/ video cards and such. maybe when they fix these they might make minor changes but i wouldn't count on anything too big this late.
 
I would say that if your chances are not zero, they are VERY VERY close to zero.

Based on frequency of official BF1942 and BFV updates, I find it very unlikely that the codebase for the demo varies much at all from the retail version.
